Have to think Wenyen Gabriel, Jon Isaac, and Rawle Alkins are calling their lawyers right now
Anyone know anything about Gabriel didn't realize he was 1 year out of high school?
Yep, he's a 5th year guy as well.
Not a premium member but...
Just what the NBA needs to improve, those three players. But I guess the trend will continue for the NBA to grab the youngest available. All those scouts and bad pro teams need to act like they are building something special.[winking]Brian Snow@BSnowScout

Wonder how this effects top recruits going forward?
Can't understand how he was ruled eligible. He was a freshman in 2012/2013. Means his graduating class would be the current one.
Some guy that makes Thons.Who?
You're the GM. Him or Skal?
The NBA is setting a precedent with this ruling. The emphasis is clearly on age, and they're allowing a loose definition of "graduating" and "high school". So you're going to see some other kids take this route. Shouldn't be too many, as most players can use the college exposure, and most players don't hate school so much that they can't stomache 8 months of pseudo-classes, but the guys who are tempted will probably be top 10 type of recruits. Watch out for DeAndre Ayton next year. He's sort of a tweener, in that he won't turn 18 until late July, but that's still good enough to meet the 19 year old rule for the 2017 draft. Was wondering that myself. So now anyone who goes to prep school for a year and is 19 can enter? even though prep school is essentially still high school? Does not make sense to me, but I imagine that it comes down to the NBA wanting to cash in on him as opposed to let some foreign league have the honors for a year.
Guy was a red flag all along though. This is probably best for all involved. The kid can give 100% of his effort to basketball, his handler cashes in, his entourage get residual benefits, and whatever school would have landed him avoids a headache.
not sure but i think he is 19 and is being viewed as a foreign playerWonder how this effects top recruits going forward?

Isaac is 6'9", and like 135 lbs. He needs to eat a crap ton of pizza for a year in college or some NBA forwards will use him to pick things out of their teeth.Isaac was going to try this a couple months ago but backed out.. Maybe he will now?
