You do realize that democracy means that the will of the majority decides the path forward, correct?
That's the inherent flaw with a democracy. Minorities can be ganged up on if not bound by our Constitutional Republic. Altogether, it is what it is: the best form of self government by the citizenry the world has ever known.

They have to go through public comment period, draft a new plan that complies with Clean Air Act and all the law suits to follow. Yes, it's a proposal.

In the end, it won't impact much anyway. The trend away from coal was already established long before Obama signed this plan and all it did was codify what was already happening in the industry.

The coal industry will always be limited by a different policy-- Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) that are in stone and protected by enormous human/animal health data.

So is all that the reason why Electric power generation stations are now retrofitting to burn more coal? The President can't change EPA regulations? The EPA's announcement in the link I provided was just a PR stunt right? The public can change the administration's stated policy objectives right?

OK.

Despite gas prices expected to reach $4 by winter, it's clear that natural gas has been gaining market share in the U.S. electric power system over coal, the longtime mainstay. For coal, a smashing combination of low gas prices and increasing environmental regulations has caused power producers to choose gas (and other sources) over coal. Since 2010 alone, gas for power is up nearly 33% to 9.7 Tcf a year.

And they aren't switching back to coal.

really? Natural gas is certainly cheap and the current energy source of choice, but these new regulations will make coal more attractive as an alternative...certainly better than it was under the previous administration

This is evident on here Every Damn Day.

The biggest fact proven over and over that they refuse to admit or face is that their philosophy...Big Government income redistribution & State sponsored central planned Socialism doesn't work.

Their historical record of its failure is the fact they are most adroit avoiding discussion of or defending why not?

They refuse to admit that despite the facts that show them and everyone else of its consistent record of failure.

Plus they'll straight up murder you for opposing them once they gain a modicum of control.

Have you ever spoken a fact? you are indeed a whiner though.

I can

The Left will not defend it (Socialism)
because they can not defend it but that never stops them from constantly advocating for it.

They will never stop pushing for it, yet never be able to argue for or point to its success.
