This is what pisses me off. A “name brand” team like Florida can hire a so called great coach and all of a sudden they’re preseason ranked. They didn’t do crap last year. Seems the bigger name schools get all of the love every year even though a lot of them finish terribly.

After 20-30 years you'll get numb to it and it won't bother you quite so much. We all know it usually works to our advantage to be underestimated, although I believe we're at the edge of that no longer being the case. Seems it is a generational stigma. Just win and the season and rankings take care of themselves.

Honestly I think he was here 2 years too long. They are talented and will have a good year. But a preseason prediction for them does not affect , or shouldn’t, the way we play. Win what’s in front of us and I’m good. I’d love for them to have a good year, us a great year. I’m glad he’s gone. He’s a good to great coach but 1 more year here I think our program backs up.
I don’t respect the way he handled the last 2-3 games the last couple years but I’m glad he did enough to move on which was his ultimate goal. We are better because of him but I know we are better now without him.

These programs average 8-9 wins per year over that 20-30 stretch too, though. If UF has an average year, they'll win 8-9 games and be around 20ish in the final rankings.

I’ve been a dawg fan as far back as I can remember but started keeping up with them in sports for about 38 years now and it never gets numb to me. I can tell y’all unequivocally that Mullen will not last more than three years at Florida because they are so dumb that they will think they he should have them a natty by then. Ten win seasons won’t get it there. They actually believe they are supposed to take their rightful place on the throne.

Hopefully them being ranked will help us move up the polls.

I think you pretty much summed it up. Don wanted to leave in 2015 when Dak graduated, and he had one foot out the door ever since, and it showed in November when he was more focused on lining up his next job than on our football team. He rebuilt our football program and did a damn good job of it overall, but I think we've taken the next step with Moorhead.

I’ll never hate him cause of what he did but you damn right I’ve been ready for him to go the last 2 years cause he didn’t want to be here. We was his stepping stone and he won to raise his stock. I’m good with that but with the right coach our win level should rise. He raised our win expectations but I’m thinking we have another level to achieve. I respect him somewhat but I expect more now. Thanks! But we now get to the next level sooner cause he checked our

Florida fans aren't going to enjoy Don trying to have a "work-life balance", like he got to do the whole time he was here at The Mississippi State University.

The minute he's out running a marathon, or caddying Canon's Jr. Golf tournaments, or up in Bristol interviewing with ESPN, Jort-and-faded-Danny-Wuerffel-Jersey-wearing Gator fan will get seriously bent....especially when Willie Taggart, Mark Richt, Kirby Smart, Charlie Strong, and even Butch Davis and Josh Heupel are recruiting 4 and 5-stars out from under him, forcing him to try to poach 2-stars from Mississippi.

Of course, if he invested right, by the time Gator-fan begins harrassing Megan at the local Publix, he'll be able to retire and spend the rest of his days working as the next Lee Corso, making wrong predictions and putting mascots on his head.

The reason they are the bigger name schools is because they consistently win. They’ll all have an occasional bad year and usually if its too bad, they make a change and things improve. Kind of like Florida.
