It seems like victory always means more if you have to really work for it.

Plus, our usual suspects here abandoned Cal and the team after their (admittedly) horrible start. Watching them backtrack and then scurry for cover as we made our come back was great fun.

Finally, locking up another SEC crown is something that never gets old.

Sweet, sweet win!

I admit I thought we were done when we got down 13 in the second half I think most of you know I'm a true fan but it wasn't looking good. I just really hate Vanderbilt and I let my emotions get the best of me

Oh my lord ppl was jumping off the ledge left and right in the game thread. I guess fans forget you normally have a 2nd half and tends to mean more in the 2nd.

But yes helluva comeback and Bam once again had a good game and Hawkins and Willis came up on D along with Willis' big time 3!

Glass half full post. Concerns me that the Cats have started slow two games in a row. I keep waiting for them to get their mo-jo working. Hope this is an anomaly.

I think we all see the problems. Some of them are quite serious.

It actually wouldn't shock me to see aTm knock us off this weekend.

I'm going to celebrate this win tonight though and then hope we find a way to rise to the occasion when the bright lights shine on us in March.

Did you tell me once you reside in Pittsburg? I'm a musician and I have three of my guitars being set up by a guy who lives there.
I live in Dover, OH about 90 minutes away.

I think that's what most of us do. We have a few who are going to be shirty no matter what, but the majority just tend to vent

What's interesting is how quickly the media jumped back on the bandwagon. I know we've won, what, 7 in a row. But really it was just the Florida game that was impressive - yet Pat Forde (of all people) CBS and ESPN have all referred to us as "peaking at the right time."

I will be honest I thought the UGA was a loss for sure with 10 minute to go in that but these last 2 games I have felt good and never worried. I knew when we got down 19 we were winning . I know it sounds crazy but I saw what happened happening and it did. UGA was the game were I learned to trust these guys.

Comeback Cats, Edition Two is starting to develop in front of our eyes. I was at the game tonight and felt pretty low during that 19 point lead Vandy built up in the first half and then expanded a close game to a 12/13 point lead in the 2nd half. It was tough for me to get up in the game as we kept dragging ourselves down just as we began to make a run. But, finally, I was up and yelling and screaming like a little kid and Rupp was getting very loud to carry the team along. It was fun but wouldn't have been if we didn't finish the job. What a game for a Cats fan as it seemed we were doomed only to pull out a terrific victory. And, give Vandy credit for playing a great game on their part. They weren't afraid of us in Rupp and gave us their best shot.

Cal said it best in the post-game show, we MUST come out of the gate with a chip on our shoulder. Playing desperate with intensity from the beginning of the game will be paramount to succeeding in the NCAA's.

It's never good when you're losing by 19 at home around 5 hours from March 1st. Make no mistake about it, this team is hitting the curve slowly and they're nearly completely out of time.

Big win for obvious reasons, especially when you consider it would have hurt seeding and Dom / Willis go out of the arena the last time losers. But we have trouble even at home, to average teams. Not sure how all of this will translate to neutral sites in march.

The "casual" so so fans got to have fun tonight. We won and they get to play message board psychologist and bicker about who's the more relaxed fan. Those of us who are the die hards are cautiously optimistic, with more on the side of caution in all honestly.

Dep - "I was definitely the more relaxed fan tonight. Probably the most"

Xception - "there's no way anyone was more relaxed than me. Look in the game thread, I said multiple times They're losing at home by 19 and I'm totally cool with it. They're kids. Kids lose sometimes".

Wild moon - "all I know is when Briscoe was terrible I loved him even more than usual. For some reason I love his game when it's terrible and great. So Definitely relaxed, don't know how anyone could be more relaxed than that."

Calskittens - " I saw some non relaxed posters making in game critiques and made sure I found the ignore button. They just care way too much. I ignore anyone who cares. Must be totally relaxed. I'd say I won the relaxation trophy tonight".

No, my fellow ombrés, you ALL win the cool award tonight. Most of us were s****** our pants. :)

this was a good win
can you imagine if they start the game the way they ended it, AND played that way for 40 minutes?

The game changed when we pressured them. I'd like to see us come out and pressure A&M right off the bat and see what happens. See if that can get us going at the start and take them out of their game plan.

Golfers know what it means to "grind" out a good round. Last night was a grind, for Cal, our kids, and yea us too.

19th hole was sweet!

I am glad that Cal put some pressure on Vandy because everybody knew they were going to milk the shot clock on every possession.

Conspiracy Theory # 1,235,623 I heard via Facebook last night is that these comeback games are all perpetuated by ESPN and CBS by handicapping the CATS to make the games more exciting for the sagging TV audiences. :chairshot:

Never fails to crack me up at the Negative Nancies that scurry out of the woodwork like roaches early in games when things look bleak for a bit, only to run back into hiding when the lights are turned on. [roll]
