My post last night was deleted despite the fact that 90% of the people that I saw respond agreed with what I said.

This season was great. Enjoy the memories and quit blaming everyone else for the fact that kids, yes kids, that go to a school, yes a school, that we support lost a basketball game. There was never a question about our kids' effort. Their execution was not always as good as it could have been, but neither was the execution of the teams we played. Our kids weren't necessarily showing the sportsmanship I would like, but I'm sure you will all make excuses for them. They displayed class all season, and I am proud of them for that. I really wish they hadn't ditched the class at the end.

I am proud to be a graduate and fan of the University of Kentucky. As a graduate, I believe I have an obligation to represent the University in a certain way.

Whenever I hear someone say "I know it's not right, but I understand" I question that person's integrity. If you know it's not right, don't do it. It's not that hard to be a normal person.

I agree with that, but I also know that most of the posters here would be giving Wisconsin down the road today if the situation were reversed.

I know I would, personally.

Never on tv. You are missing the point and trying to say it is ok to act like an *** if you just lost. We criticize everyone that we beat for doing that. We are better than that. There is never an excuse for acting without class. To say "you have never sinned" is a cop out. We all have. Ask if I've ever acted classless after losing and used racial slurs and I will say no.

Why don't you contact Coach Cal or the team and express your concerns? Maybe write a letter to whomever you feel needs a lesson on etiquette after a loss in the semi-finals of the NCAA national championship game.

Andrew had no idea those comments would be heard by the media. He thought he was saying that in confidence to his team mate.

I guess you could walk around all day long with the media listening to your every word as a 19-20 year old and be totally comfortable with every word that came out of your mouth, even a whisper that you thought would never be heard by anyone but your friend?

You have no idea what these players have had to deal with from the media for the last 6 months. So don't even attempt to try and give us a lecture on how much "better" you are than our players or fans!!

I'll give my 2 cents...

Posts like this one, lecturing the board on how we should all be responding to the remarks of Andrew Harrison, don't resonate very well with me. I honestly have little use for them. Should the board be comdemning him to hell universally or something? What is satisfactory? Should he be kicked off the team, as some haters have suggested?

Here's my thought on Andrew's remarks... I don't care for his choice of words. He was angry and not used to losing. So was I. I say things when I'm mad that I don't even really mean. I'm just mad. I regret them later. Clearly Andrew does too. But I think I'll extend him a bit of grace. If I didn't receive a bit of grace for saying dumb things, I'd be in huge trouble.

But hey, thanks for the sanctimony and sermon. I actually like sermons usually, but the self-righteous ones turn me right off. But hey, at least I know now how I SHOULD feel if my goal in life were to make you happy. Though I fear, despite complying with this particular sermonette and joining in condemning Andrew as judge and jury, I'd likely fall short in some other area and assuredly incite your wrath once anyway. So I guess I'll just skip to the chase and refuse to allow you to govern my reactions at all.

Andrew immediately apologized, Kaminsky and Ryan said it was a complete non issue, they are all willing to let it die, and so should we. Gary WIlliams said on the radio this morning that there is no issue in UK's players leaving the floor because Wisconisn was still celebrating and there's no reason to stick around 4-5 minutes waiting to shake hands. It's all a non issue.

I thought that as well. If I was a player and saw the Wisconsin team celebrating in the middle of the court, I would not wait around just to shake their hand. Let them have their moment.

I was at Commonwealth a couple of years ago when we beat Georgia and the fans stormed the field, me included. UK Players were running around, celebrating, hugging fans, and the GA team just left and went back to the locker room and did not hang around to shake hands, etc. I did not think they were being unsportsmanlike then at all. And that game was a regular season football game, not the magnitude of the final four. Media and some fans make too much over this stuff.

Then you can question mine. I know it's not right to speed, but I do it occasionally. I know it's not right to look a little too long at a buddy's girlfriend/wife on occasion, but I'm guilty. I should never call in sick when I feel fine, but I've done it.

I was so proud of these guys and their selflessness all season, and like you I wish they had mustered the little left in their tank after the game to be more 'outwardly' gracious immediately after the game. I just feel like it is the least I can do (after all they did for 'me' these last few months) to cut them some slack.

My opinion is that they were in total shock.
