Madison WI cops shot this man, in the head, 3 times. It’ll be interesting to see if he had a gun and was attempting to pull it or not. If he’s unarmed…..yikes.

It sure looks like one of the cops kicks him, and a split second later a diff cop pulls out a gun and fires.
Sure hope there's body cam footage for this. Looks really bad from this angle.
What would you be looking for to make the video more optimal?
I'm sure they feared for their lives or saw a gun or thought they saw a weapon. Every catch phrase cops are instructed (taught) to say when discharging their firearm.

Willy St. is the funkiest part of Madison, which is a pretty funky town. I was riding my bike around there 2 weeks ago, before the Phish concert. I love that area. Plenty of unstable drifters hanging about though, at least that was the case ten years ago. Madison cops were pretty chill during the 8 years I lived there. The locals will hold the cops to task, appropriately— if there was a neighborhood to set up an autonomous zone, that would likely be it.

When I lived in Madison, most of us generally enjoyed not getting stabbed. We were mostly grateful when a stabby individual was stopped by the police. I trust that all but the most unreasonable voices among the interested parties will be talking sense as facts are processed.
