fRANKFORT, Ky. - A judge on Friday put a temporary halt on Gov. Matt Bevin’s order to abolish the old University of Louisville Board of Trustees but left intact former President James Ramsey's resignation.

Franklin Circuit Judge Phillip Shepherd's 22-page order grants the temporary injunction sought by Attorney General Andy Beshear to restore university governance to its status before Bevin’s order.

I'd say that conclusion is a bit premature. It seems we have some people here who are less concerned with cleaning up corruption and more concerned with who is doing it.

If Conway had been able to cover his 9 point *** whipping, win the election and initiate this much needed house cleaning, I would have been cheering him on.

You insinuated Beshear was being corrupt and called the board coruptocrats. I said I'd watch throwing your politics into a situation where your guy was the one who violated the law.

The entire university should be smoked to the ground. Nothing but a den of corrupt and crooked thieves over there. IMO.

I said I wondered why Beshear would stand in the way of this house cleaning. The board was clearly disfunctional and if Ramsey isn't "corruptocrat" personified, I'd like to know who is.

Someone once said "politics makes strange bedfellows". It was never more evident than in this thread.

Of the top of my head:

1. Half the board was trying to oust Ramsey before Bevin intervened.
2. Board members are appointed at intervals so that 1 governor can't have undue influence on a board.
3. There are standards for board composition that university accreditation boards have that were not followed
4. The status of a medical/dental/law degree from an unaccredited university is probably not good
5. You're begging the question about all the board members & assume purity of intent from the governor

Ramsey made them all look foolish. He gets big buyout, stays on the board that committed fraud and loses nothing. The new board can be disbanded and Bevin is left holding his wang.

I haven't followed this very close, but I didn't realize that Ramsey was staying on the board. That is ludicrous.

Comb Over wants to be Prez of Foundation that has paid him Millions over last few years..He is a scumbag probably a guy that has the goods on Tommy Turtleneck and his shady deals [eyeroll][eyeroll][eyeroll][eyeroll] the school is a rathole..Shut it down!!!!!

Beshear is the fire wall at AG that the old guard desperately needed, and got in a very close result. He is in place to be a roadblock to anything that the governor tries to do to deal with the slew of inefficient and corrupt practices that benefit the old guard. Citizens will suffer, and this will limit progress for our state. The bigger fish being fried is probably to pension board, and BTW, the state liability for that is a ticking **** bomb that will blow if some drastic actions are not taken
