I disagree. We got lucky against La Tech and Kentucky basically gifted us a win. We are worse than our record.

This team is close. Very close to putting it all together. Still a chance to finish strong. If the team improves at the same rate in year 3 that it has in year 2, it should be fun.

At the beginning of the season there were two camps of state fans. One said we would go for eight or nine wins and the other team side said we would go 3 to 5 wins. As it is I feel like we have slowly improved the entire season. Yeah we want to pull our hair out of times with her our offense or defense but there has been only been one game that we were out of from the first kick of. We also have two wins against ranked teams. We have a great place to start from this off-season and I still feel like we have a pathway for a decent bowl game.

Fact remains were were absolutely hosed at Memphis, and we got the needed stop today, and the refs took it away.

5-4 because our ST suck balls and our offense is awful early in most games.
And we were losing at Memphis before that call because our offense suck for a half. Mike Leach can't figure out how to have the damn team ready to play.

We are 5-4 and playing like a 5-4 team…Wish it were different. Rogers is growing right up before our eyes, but we’re gonna continue to be inconsistent in enough areas to give some games away like we did today.

I’m finally seeing where Leach can get us (and keep us) more than competitive here.

Gotta rely on the portal to get us enough Jimmy and Joe’s to make it happen. WR and QB won’t be a problem…. Can we fill the gaps on OL and get consistent on special teams?

Next year State finishes #2 in the West.

The team is improved, but we sucked for most of last year. We are inconsistent and kill all momentum we ever get with some stupid mistake. I'm tired of excuses and want to see results. Not having a kicker and a punter that are at least average is a shame, and it wears on the other players to have to watch that crap.

5-4. Outside of Georgia and maybe Bama, the SEC West doesn't have great teams. Turnovers and special teams play costs us. Turnovers and a near perfect passing game from Rogers cost Kentucky last week against us. That's not something we can count on every week. Thus, we're not really better than teams we lose close games to. I know, if we only didn't screw up, if the refs didn't screw us in the 4th quarter and if we only scored more points than the other team we'd win. We're pretty good and much better than I thought we were after game 2. I think we can compete with any team outside of the Top 10. Maybe even a few Top 10 teams. But, we're not quite good enough to beat those equally pretty good teams without some turnovers and continued outstanding play from Rogers. This is a Leach coached team. We can beat Auburn and Ole Miss but we're not at the we should definately beat them stage. We need steller play or some breaks. Anyway, unlike last year, we now know we'll score some points against most teams, but we're gonna need a couple of studs on defense, some o-line talent and a reliable kicker to stand out. Hope we get those guys but most other teams are out-recruiting us right now. On the plus side, Arnett's gonna stick around another year. He seems fine with some decent talent. We need more talent.
