I didn’t even say a thing about quitting, I responded to your dumb post about playing only young guys. One, we were not and two it doesn’t matter!! It’s an FCS school who is also our passing your Guru and “great” passer. It’s a bad game vs a losing FCS school.

I never stated we are playing only young guys. Try again.

They do look a lot better than how they started both halves. Still very concerned.

Tbh I'm kinda worried about tsun too. I just hope we can shut down that run game. I think we can score on them some but you can never tell with this team

Are you for real? We came damn close to a losing FCS team getting back within 7 points in the 2nd half today. Yeah we eventually opened it up in the 2nd half, but not before ACU lost both their starting DT's. Ya think that might have helped our O just a little bit?

We had our starters still playing into the 4th Q because nobody was 100% comfortable the game was out of reach vs a 5-6 FCS team.

Can't have it both ways. Do you think it helped that we had 3 OL out today? 3 starters on defense due to suspensions, 3 out for injuries... ???

It is an FCS school with a losing record. We should have beat them this bad with reserves playing the entire game. No it doesn’t go both ways with this level of competition. If it was a FBS school the point is fine but not a lower ranked FCS team.

I don't care if it is. That FCS school scored 7 points on them. They made mistakes and made some great plays. It's what a lack of experience does.

That team lost by 7 to Incarnate 17n Word. Yes, we should've been able to beat them handily with backups. Instead, for most of the game, they were within what, 2/3 scores and we had to play our starters into the 4th. If you act like that's not concerning then I dont know what to tell you.

The game I watched was 45 to 7. I didn't see any quitters. That's a stupid statement. I am concerned that we can not block or catch

We sort of did. I mean not intentionally playing our reserves because of suspensions injuries and etc. But it happened nonetheless.

I was no doubt reactionary. But there were times when it looked like we could give one 17. The receiver breaking a huddle of 4 tacklers is what set me off. We can’t tackle for ****. And that will be on full display Thursday.

Wrap it in newspaper

We won 45-7. The team hasn’t quit. There’s a talent and youth problem. If we had quit, we’d had lost that game last night or it would have been a hell of a lot closer. I know some of all really hate Moorhead and that’s fine, but those same people need to realize we aren’t that talented, especially on offense. Our receivers wouldn’t start at Hinds Community College, and our O line is hot garbage.

See post above yours.

Maybe you are right. Maybe we simply suck. It’s hard football to watch. Here’s to whoever can fix it. :cheers

I’m not disagreeing, but in our players defense, we were up big against an FCS opponent 5 days before the egg bowl with about 10,000 people in the stands. I think we’ll have a little more juice Thursday night.

I disagree somewhat. I see plenty of talent on this team, just poor motivation, fundamentals, low football IQ, lackadaisical effort, horrible tackling, impotent schemes, ****** special teams, criminally negligent game preparation, and a glaring regression in strength training.

One word. Leadership.

The times when this team has won under Moorhead is when the talent overcomes the coaching, and I stand by that. TBone said they quit. I agree. They had. Someone or something lit a small fire in em, and it damn sure wasn't anything Jugghead said at halftime. They came out and looked like hammered ****, and yes, they looked like they quit. They had. Bone, stand by your statement. This ****** coaching experiment is on life support, and talent along with size were the only things that beat a horrible football team last night.

We start so slow that anyone with a pulse puts us away before we wake up. That is one of the maddening things to me. And that’s both halves of damn near every game.

We padded the score late more because ACU was completely worn down and decimated by injuries by the 4th quarter than because we were fighting harder. ACU also left points on the board and gave us good field position several times by stupidly going for it on 4th down every time they were past midfield.

You see plenty of talent on offenses outside of Hill, who?

Schrader, Gibson, Mitchell, Guidry, Zuber, Witherspoon, Thomas, Green
The fact that Guidry can't catch is his fault. He was regarded as quite a catch in recruiting (ironic pun intended)

Mitchell wouldn’t start on any other team in the sec. maybe Vandy. Zuber is talent and should be playing more yes. Gibson is a liability. He fumbles at least once a game. Let’s face it, Guidry was overrated coming out of JUCO. He’s average at best. Thomas should be at a school like Memphis. He’s not an SEC caliber player.

You asked for what talent? and I gave it to you. The dropped passes and fumbles go back to fundamentals as I mentioned. These recievers can get open, but drop a lot. If I'm a reciever and having trouble catching the ball, I'm spending an hour every day in front of a jug machine. Fumbling? There's drills for that. Issues a football coach is paid to address .

You don’t think our players do that? This is the SEC, they do that kind of stuff at the high school level. Of course they do that. It’s a talent issue. The players you mentioned really aren’t that talented outside of GS. They’re all just okay. My point is our problems on offense are mainly due to the fact that we just don’t have very good players to work with. Our O line are fat, out of shape, and soft. Our receivers are putrid. Moorhead’s offense can’t and won’t work unless he gets more talent. LSU runs the same offense and it’s almost unstoppable. Why? Because they have studs. We needs some studs, particularly at the wide out spot. I’m not defending JM here, because he’s a terrible game manager and makes terrible decisions every week, but in his defense he needs some help. My problem with JM is he’s trying to fit a round peg into a square hole and each week we see the same 3-4 plays on offense. No wrinkles. It’s hard to watch.
