Daniel Ganaway, one of the worst Ole Miss people on Twitter, agrees with him, so he must be right.

To be honest, I used to not wish Ole Miss harm since most of my family are Ole Miss alums/fans. As Hillary Clinton famously stated, my position has evolved.

The hatred is strong, and I wish nothing for them except pineapple-up-the-*** treatment from the NCAA. Top side first.

I want them to put it in sideways

Sounds like something a damn Gene's pager would say. I hate ole miss and I don't think any of us are cheering for physical harm to any players. We are just cheering for impending justice and the death of their program for the foreseeable future. I don't give a damn that it's gonna be hard on the kids. They made the choice when they were duped by Freeze and staff. This will serve as a life Lesson to them and others.

Sometimes I root for State (vs. UCONN, e.g.), sometimes I don't. I'm not sure why I do what I do whenever I do it.

Same, particularly for the non conference. Unless it works against us, I'm an Ole Miss fan when their playing any of the big boy SEC teams, so I enjoy it when they take down the Bama or LSUs of the SEC. I will admit that I get a lot of enjoyment in seeing Vandy regularly beat Ole Miss. I imagine most OM fans get a kick out of the trouble Kentucky tends to make for us.

One time in 1985 I had this momentary tinge to pull for Mississippi versus Notre 17n Dame. But I got over it by kick-off. That feeling has never recurred. Ever. In any sport.

About the same with me. I don't live in Mississippi and only have contact with reasonable Ole Miss friends, so over the last ten years, I have lost the feelings most have on this board.

I like to see them beat a big non-conference team occasionally, but most of the time, I have no emotional investment until the Egg Bowl.

All of my MSU friends IRL, which admittedly is only a handful, are good natured about the rivalry. We know our attitudes have essentially no impact on what happens. Each year is more of a curiosity to see what each school can accomplish given our historical statuses. Most of the time when I root against State it's because I'm rooting for an underdog.

I pulled for OM against Aggie baseball last spring. Thanks Rebels!

I sometimes don't pull for whoever OM is playing, especially if it helps State in the standings.

All the cheating and arrogance has created a toxic environment though.

Maybe my stance will soften in the near future.

You think this really is a Mississippi State fan? Of his 15 followers, ~5 are clearly bear fans and only one, Tobias Smith is a MSU fan.

This is clearly a Troll account, started ~a month ago.

I would definitely root for UM against Hitler Germany, right up until kickoff. I just couldn't do it during the game.

And I don't hate them, just seeking out justice for those lying, cheating, inbred snobs who insist they are better than everyone else because they stand around under oak trees, eating cold chicken tenders their Daddy purchased, drinking coke and whiskey from red plastic cups right up to the start of the game and anytime they can get out of the stadium after the first quarter.

We both tend to be underdogs the last couple of decades. Most of my Rebel friends and I know that both of our teams are either one magical year or a decade or so of slow growth away from a national championship.

Now my Bammer friends who never took a class there are another story.

rus·tleˈ rəsəl
verb
3rd person present: rustles

  • 1.
make a soft, muffled crackling sound like that caused by the movement of dry leaves or paper.
"she came closer, her skirt swaying and rustling"
  • 2.
round up and steal (cattle, horses, or sheep).

noun

  • a soft, muffled crackling sound like that made by the movement of dry leaves or paper.
"there was a rustle in the undergrowth behind her"

I'm thinking the noun usage: "a soft, muffled crackling sound like that made by the movement of dry leaves or paper."
as in the sound made by the waving of a red pompom

Have you been watching State games during football season? Since Dan Mullen arrived, the only Kentucky win was last year on a long, last second FG. Previously, MSU had won EVERY year since Dan arrived .. Seven in a row.

'09 Win 31-24
'10 Win 24-17
'11 Win 28-16
'12 Win 27-14
'13 Win 28-22
'14 Win 45-31
'15 Win 42-16
'16 Loss 38-40

I think he meant three of those were one possession games and two were two possession games, with one loss. OM vs. Vanderbilt is often a one to two possession game no matter who wins too.
