I don’t know how Cal does it. It’s exhausting for me to even watch every year. We lose 7 guys off a 10-8 SEC team which lost 11 games. Yet he holds on to 3 guys who started most games, and played big minutes. Brings in a bunch of 5 star recruits including a late reclassified who might be the best of the bunch, and hopefully a talented, mature 5th year transfer. Presto we have another top 10, F4 contending team. And then we do the same dance again next spring.

How reliable are the pre-season top 25 team polls ? Like if somebody made one right now would you assume the top five teams in it would actually end up being the best 5 teams ?

If everyone knew that... then the OP wouldnt of made this thread because just getting a top recruiting class doesnt counter the people that blamed Cal for last season's problems which the whole this is on Cal came from.
