Team getting good at choking away leads. That counts for something right? Maybe a silver participation trophy?

Young team. Jet lagged from Vegas trip. Ball just didn't bounce our way.

Not really that young. And WF played in Hawaii for crying out loud, 6 hours further west than Rutgers was in another time zone. And they are missing their best player.

I could live with slow progress. This is no progress.

Eddie is an alum and I'm willing to give him another year based on what he walked into, but I already know how this will end.

well since he gave Willard 7 years, get ready for 4 and half more years of this
This is over the top. Hobbs was only announced as our AD two days ago, it's a little early to kill him. Also, while we're not where we want to be as a program, it's six games into the year. Half of our key guys have never played together before. If Sanders gets the block/charge call go his way with a minute left, we likely win last night and are 4-2 with a win over a team that beat Indiana. Would everyone still be screaming for change right now?

Judge Eddie's performance on how we look as a team two months from now. Making the postseason this year was always a long shot anyway.

This is true. However, we had several chances to win the game after that call and it's fair to make some judgments based on that. We also shouldn't have lost a 12 point 2nd half lead at home.

I'm ok waiting a couple of months since they haven't played together long but his teams have tanked the last two seasons as other coaching "kicks in" and our does not. The schedule certainly doesn't get easier either.

It will be interesting to see how the team responds with the home rivalry game on Saturday. A win would look very good. I hope he can somehow motivate this group. They were sleep-walking in the first half last night.

This team is two HORRIBLY blown calls away from beating St Johns and Wake and being 5-2.

on the video board it looked like a toss up. In all honesty we got most of the whistles in this game. shocked Manning wasn't more upset at some of the calls.

C'mon man - you didn't know I was being sarcastic? I'm completely and utterly disgusted at the state of affairs. I 100 percent agree with you on all counts. This program is an abomination.

Last week we were never in the game vs. Clemson. I like the fact that we had a 12 point lead. If there is a black and white progression chart losing close games is part of a positive trend, certainly beats Clemson.

Last night's silver participation trophy looked and smelled a lot better than what was in the bag on fire in Las Vegas.

How can you be flat if you're hungry to erase the St.John's and Creighton disappointments?

Time change? They got out there Sunday and Clemson had the same time change.

Truly remarkable the excuses that can be made for everything.
Equally remarkable is the ability of certain posters to be remindful of how good life truly is, and what a burden it must be to others...

The only saving grace is that I think Eddie will take himself out of the equation before 4 more years. He doesn't look like he has the energy or the patience for that.

Nobody is walking away from a 1.1 million dollar job at his age.

Again------and it's difficult to deal with but EJ has to be given 4 years given the circumstances of what he walked into.

I stand with the positive posters.

This is a young team encountering some bumps in the road. We'll get better and then win 6 games in the B1G.

There's no doubt Jordan is here thru next year. We have to hope that his coaching leads to continuous improvement. We'll certainly find out. I have my doubts but I have my hopes as well.
Go Rutgers. Good Luck to us.

Maybe I'm a newbie, first year with season tickets (although a fan for 10 yrs), but I thought for a young and "new" team we played better than I expected v Wake. I actually thought it was a good game, sure frustrating as hell, but I would like to see a larger sample. The key I think is to hold on to this young group (no transfers please) and build with a solid 2016 recruiting class. If these things do not happen, then the program is not headed in the right direction. The fair assessment would be after next year for Eddie.
