That Cohen hired hasn’t delivered on one meaningful thing other than curb stomping a beleaguered band of dumbasses from Oxford for a trophy.

good job JoMo, you burned it all down after 9 years on the up swing. I know it won’t happens but we need to cut our losses and ditch this guy this year. Expedite the inevitable.

Five years to recover if we fire him this year. Ten if we wait until next year. We high five Ole Miss on their way up as we head down when we should have our foot on their throat. What an epic 17 up of Mississippi state proportions.

That’s not true, for Joes shortcomings on the field, has has recruited pretty well.

A new coach would have a nice group of guys to work with.

The very worst part about it is that we had our program positioned AND OM was positioned for us to step up and dominate this state for a decade. The most MState thing we could do would be to totally botch hiring our next coach. Mission completed !!!

5 years? 10 years? Dude, we played in the gator bowl in year 2 of Mullen after a decade of being a bottom dweller. And even though Joe has been bad on the field, we have still been recruiting in the top 25. Bring in the right guy and we’re fine

Yep. It's an effort, execution, mental toughness, and physicality problem. Talent is young, but present. Joe is a finesse coach and that won't fly in the SEC.

Actually no I didn’t. You are just too dumb to realize that.

I said dumb asses wanted Saban fired after one season.

Dumbasses want morehead fired after 1 season and 3 games.

I’m comparing scenarios. Both reactions are very premature.

Call a spade a spade. Saban had a track record as a head coach in the SEC. Moorhead did not. Comparing apples to Twinkies

It might be the sunburn seeping into my brain but can you give me some bullet points on how it will take ten years to recover if Moorhead is there next year? I’d love some detail here.

It can’t get more apples to apples.

It actually makes my point more. Dumb asses wanted NICK SABAN fired after year 1. That should be an epic lesson in let’s wait and see.

Some dumb *** said we were set back 5 years FOR SURE with moorehead. Maybe 10.

Stupid dumb asses.

We act like JoMo inherited some kind of dynasty. He didn’t. We snuck into a bowl a few years ago with a losing record and beat Miami (of Ohio) by blocking a field goal. Didn’t we also lose to USA that year?

We were lucky as hell to have the first rounders we had last year. However, a couple of quick questions to consider:

Do we have any of them without the off-the-field issues that made bigger programs back away?
How many other players were drafted last year?

The truth is that we lost 5 NFL-caliber players and that removed almost all of the talent from our roster. If nothing else, JoMo should at least put some players on the team that can win with the next coach we hire.

Wanting a then national championship winning coach fired after one season in Tuscaloosa was NOT a prevailing thought amongst the crimson tide fans. Hyperbole on steroids. That wasn’t even remotely a thing taken seriously.

6-6 might be bad enough to run him

No chance he gets fired in Year 2 if he’s bowl eligible both years. Especially with the suspensions and injuries we are still dealing with. I’m not happy with Joe right now either, but there are some issues with this team that are out of his control. Also some issues that he can control, but still.

So you are saying Saban and Moorhead are very similar, but not exactly the same... Got it.

We are a composite top 25 team talent wise. In terms of our history, it simply doesn’t get any better for a new coach and likely never will. No excuses for us being a bunch of soft pushovers

I’m not impressed with Moorhead either, but these post are ridiculous. 5 to 10 years to recover? We underachieved last year but still won 8 games. This year we 2-1 and we have some very winnable games on our schedule. Some of you are acting as if Croom is still the coach, winning 3 games a year.

What a meltdown today.

I believe that Cohen's arrogance lead him to hire Moorhead. I am convinced that he made a quick hire to show Mullen that he wasn't irreplaceable. Hiring someone with zero SEC experience, with his only head coaching job being the mighty Fordham program was a colossal mistake.

The 5-10 years is silly... But I see an effort/toughness problem. I watched it happen last year too, but there were a handful of upper class men that held it together. I don't care about water parks or other silly stuff, but there is a discipline and effort problem... Apparently off the field too.

That's one of those things that probably can't be corrected without a coaching change. But the right guy can fix it quick.

There was a lot of flat time during that 9 year upswing.

We went to a bowl and were ranked during last year. We have already been ranked this year, are 2-1, and the loss is to a decent FBS team(vs a bad team).

For this the coach should be fired?

This place needs a 4 hour time delay on posts. Thst way people would know their emotional tantrums wouldnt be read until hours later and would be less likely to bother posting.

Poor coaching was the biggest factor in this loss, no question. But we still lost to a good team.

JoMo's not getting fired after this year even if we don't get to 6 wins - and 6 wins will be damn hard for this team to get.

He's lost players to injuries and a whole bunch of other crap he had little control over. We all knew this year was pretty significant rebuild even before tutorgate.

You gotta believe Jo's a bright enough guy to figure things out, but KSU is a veteran team and their coach is the real deal --in spite of the fact that no SEC team or big time program would have given a shot to coach.

If JoMo loses two out of three to UK OM and UArk, his *** will be sweating all year next year, but just who the hell do you think is going to do better for us in the future?

Jo's our best shot to take a step up from Mullen. It ain't going to happen over night.

You can be disappointed in today's game, but you may as well sit back, buckle up and enjoy the bumpy ride.

Most of y’all were jizzing in your drawers at the improved offense when tommy was healthy. So we have a true ******* freshman having to step in and your expecting the same?

Our defense sucks. We lost 3 first rounders. What the **** are you actually expecting from this coach?

your expecting the same?

Would it be too much to expect one completion in the 4th quarter? Don't want to put too much on the guys.

Also, it wasn't a true freshman dropping passes or missing tackles. Shrader played fine. The problems lie in other areas where we should be better.

Some programs can play the wait and see and recover if they're wrong. WE cannot. We wait and miss and we may very well be at the bottom again for another decade.

Again, as long as we are bringing in top 25 classes, were not at risk for an Arkansas type situation.

Years to recover. People actually think he is qualified to be here, much less the only choice we have to improve.
