Ultimately I want to see the school suffer.
Locals (I’m trapped in a PSU region) will claim Joe Pa was literally killed by guilt and the school suffered horrific financial and on the field damages. All laughable.
I can’t argue that Joe is dead...so from that perspective I won’t waste any energy. The school...they deserve SO MUCH MORE humiliation. Maybe...just maybe...by actually admitting guilt. PSU denied initial allegations (to the point they attacked both witnesses and victims) and when that didn’t work they attempted to isolate and separate from the representatives/leaders of their school that obviously participated in a cover-up. That did not work either.
...from that time on they’ve played the victim. Punishment too harsh...huge amounts of money...will never be able to recover from ‘worse than the death penalty’... ...but never.... ...ever... ...we’re embarrassed this happened on our watch. Never...ever... this will not happen on our watch again.
Even I can be a forgiving person.
I just can’t forgive those that don’t recognize that they need forgiveness in the first place.

Well, they can stop singing that song anytime. I'd say they've recovered quite nicely. Much better than SMU did. Worse than the death penalty my butt. Watch one of their games and it's as though the whole sordid mess never happened. Maybe that's as it should be, I don't know; but if they're still crying I'd say it's a product of that unexpressed collective guilt, not reality.
