The play that won them the game was the no call on the safety.

Same old story, Nick Saban gets extended every courtesy.

While the call will be questioned - couldn’t you argue that Texas came away with 1 more point than they otherwise would as instead of a safety Texas got the ball in great field position and got a FG

I just want to know what was the result of the play? Did the play that resulted in a safety or grounding ever take place?

We could argue that after the 2pts and free kick, they match down the field and kick a field goal again.

one play doesn't decide the game...texas did better then I thought they would, but they did'nt beat bama like A&M did...the real way to see if texas has improved are on the unhyped games. which they will see alot in the big 12 this year.when they play the ksu's, isu's, kansas etc.

He wasn't down, how is it a safety?
Let’s just say he wasn’t down.
Who was he throwing it to?
Did the ball cross the line of scrimmage?
Was he scrambling outside the hash marks?

If not, it’s intentional grounding, and when that occurs in the end zone, it’s a safety!

Texas missed a FG and their WR dropped a TD from Ewers early in the first quarter that could have won them the game. That said I can’t remember a team that got penalized 15 times yet felt the refs help win them the game.
