You dumb.....Let's go back to recruits like Bobby Perry, Orzbut, Thomas, Pilgrim. You people are such asses.

Yes, because THAT is the alternative blaming the coach for a loss?

I will never understand why some of you are so opposed to Cal having to shoulder the blame for a loss.

Not sure why so many of you get so offended if someone criticizes coaching. He makes a TON of money to coach this team and win ball games. It’s his job and the staffs to figure it all out and build a team, prepare them, coach them, etc. and win games. We’ve lost too many, probably should have lost more and have more coming. Not what we expect at UK and I have a hard time laying all this on the players.

Cal can't fall timeout ...only a player on the floor can

Does the coach not instruct the players to call a time out in other situations?

He calls a timeout there then we screw up the in bounds pass then you’re blaming him for calling TO. Cal doesn’t play the game and we only have a few players who put it all on the line. This group of kids don’t get it. The only fault to cal is recruiting kids who are mega entitled. Even fox and monk were very coachBle this group mentally weak uncoachable

No they wouldn't. Anyone watching knew the play was out of whack and would of been okay with it.

Don’t you dare criticize the coaching staff. According to most on this board, NOTHING is their fault and we just have selfish, low basketball IQ players or something...it’s all their fault.
We do have selfish, low IQ players but Cal deserves all of the grief he is getting

Yep. It wasn't the kids. It wasn't the crowd. It was all on Cal. They put themselves in a position to win.

And then they ******* handed the game away. They needed a timeout to have the coach tell them not to hand the ball to the other team? Thsee idiots have consistently tried to **** up every close end of game situation and they did it again. It is on the players, they are adults.

Cal just said in the post game interview that he should’ve called a timeout because this team is too young to understand when they’re in trouble.

This team is soft and looks lost. I'm not sure how Cal can continue to give Diallo minutes -- he is giving the team virtually nothing out of his position. Also Washington is a non-factor in the post -- the bigs aren't good enough to score consistently in the paint. Couple that with poor perimeter shooting and you have the dumpster fire we are seeing offensively of late.

Hopefully things turn around but I don’t think we’re a spoiled fanbase if we at the least expect not to be a bubble team.

Run an offense. Call a timeout. Run a set.
What is his problem!?!
Tired of Calipari's dog and pony show. Tired of his rhetoric during interviews.Recruit shooters and not just athletes. Run sets and call plays. They are fundamentally inept. Bad free throw shooting, bad spacing on offense and defense, and three point defense is terrible. Coaching is our problem and (lack thereof)!!!

The fact that this is one of the most worn out straw man arguments notwithstanding, I would take at least Woo and Perry over any starter we have.

Perhaps Calipari thought that Rick Barnes would outcoach him?

That's the only thing that makes sense.

He's just now realizing that? C'mon, he needed to settle them down. We're only down by 1 point, 14 seconds left. With this group, OF COURSE you call a TO. What's the question?
