No way! We all know K had nothing to do with this. Somebody here will try to blame Cal for Bagley playing 43 minutes and only taking 9 shots in game where KU’s only post player was in foul trouble the majority of the game
You know he just had to play Kansas at their own game because of his huge ego.
IMO this is on Nike. They need to start offering million dollar houses earlier in the process. Sure the top 3 players in next year's class is good, but they need to lock up the entire top 10 the following class.
Maybe he can get the E8 loss taken off his record.

Waiting for the Forde or Thamel article about how this isn’t about winning or losing. It’s about Coach K being a leader of young men on and off the basketball court. This is bigger than basketball, and although they lost, his players are still winners in the game of life.

First of all, let me say that I despise Duke and Coach K more than the Al Queda Camel Spiders basketball team but this proves that all of the talent in the world doesn't guarantee anything. Also shows just how hard it is to just to get to a FF, much less win a title. Next season it'll be the same story.

How did Duke underwhelm?...They finished exactly where their seeding predicted they would..they were a 2 seed and lost a close game to a 1 seed...I dont like Duke either but I bet they wouldnt have lost to K-State...
Duke or Kansas would have kicked our *** to high heaven. Both teams move the ball so well.
We had half the talent.. We were supposedly, no where near Dukes level. Also... Pretty sure Duke was favoritited this game anyways. And many thought they were the sure fire NCAA Champs. I thought so at many points through the year.. Actually.. Id have probably pegged them as favorites 4 hours ago..
It was a disappointment. Calipari-esque NBA talent with the GOAT coach.. And they couldn't handle it.
He needs more 3-4 year players. More local kids. Great recruiter, average coach.
The irony is that K was getting credit for revolutionizing the game with his zone and it's what got them beat.

The point isn’t to bash Duke or Coach K. The point is the double standard in sports media as well as the folks in our own fan base that don’t seem to understand it’s a single elimination tournament. No matter what talent, coach, previous record, etc you have you can go home any night and lose at any time no matter who you are.

That zone was a shell of what Jim B has crafted. It was ripe to be exploited, and had Kansas been on their shooting tonight (6 for 15 at one point, against freshman playing zone, is not good).. this game was over with 8 min left.

And, thankfully for Kansas and the rest of us celebrating Duke's flameout tonight, how can you have a potential number one NBA draft pick on the floor and not get him the ball at the end of regulation? That is on the coach, and on Allen who selfishly wanted the glory all for himself when there was clearly a better option. Proper karma for the "Tripper." It does, unfortunately, invoke memories of 2015 with our guys not getting Karl-Anthony the ball down the stretch. The "fog of war" gets even the top coaches and players.
