Tyler had a bad shooting game and it showed, imo why we lost. any 3 would have put the game in our favor. He just had a bad day. I stll think he's a very good player, just one of those games. Maybe stage fright..

Herro should be someone’s back up. It’s not his fault that he is thrown to the fire and his coach refuses to step up and actually coach

Hard to disagree. Keep scratching my head as to why the kid won't just go straight up on his Js. weird. Style points don't go on the scoreboard.

He may not be our best player, but he is our MOST IMPORTANT one. This team goes as he goes. He was definitely off today. The final score showed it. I won't "blame" him though, he is just a kid. He is probably blaming himself right now, but what he needs is encouragement. There will be more opportunities, and more important. The season is young.....

It’s on cal for not practicing offense. He’s said numerous times he’s working solely on defense until they get it right. Well some players need repitition to shoot well

He is a role player. There's a reason he was ranked where he was. He's the type of guy who should play 8-10 minutes a game as a freshman on a good team; become a 15-20 bench guy as a sophomore; a quality starter as a junior; and a college star as a senior.

EVERY talent evaluator out there saw that, but UK fans just couldn't accept it, and some still can't.

Kid plays defense like Reggie Miller

Unfortunately for us CAT fans, he shoots the ball like Oliver Miller...

Ok, he's a lockdown defender. Really kept Seton Hall in check.

He's constantly out of position, and even when he stays with his man that is driving they still end up scoring over him. You don't have to get blown by to get beat on defense.

Learn basketball.

Didn't say that. Lots of people were scored on

Utterly inept commentary.

Herro isn't to blame but his shooting has been the biggest disappointment of the year. He's a really bad shooter right now not the great one we hoped for.

Anyone laying this all on Herro is dumber than owl ****. Yes, he missed his 3's but his also had 10 points that kept us in the game. SMH

He did nothing to "keep us in the game." He was awful in every aspect. At this point, I'm not surprised when he misses shots, because he's just not a good shooter. But he didn't do anything else well either. Go back and look at his defense on the first couple of possession of OT. He's going to be really embarrassed if they actually have a film session on this game.

Nobody other than the OP is blaming Herro for the loss. He definitely had a big part in the loss, but so did others including our coach.

I guess we can look at it with the positive spin of, at least hes getting it out of his system to start the season.

IMO, Herro is a year away from being a really good player. The comparisons to Rex Chapman were ludicrous and unfair to the kid. He has a lot of potential but just not showing it now.

Think his mistakes cost us. Also think he is the most vital component of this team going forward. It’s a real double-edged sword sort of deal with Herro. Have to give him big game experience to grow from, but really need 50/50 games like this one for the team resume.

The good news is that Herro's bi-polar play will be enough for him to leave for the league next summer and end his generational poverty.

I'm just happy we get to cheer these kids on for 7 months before they go chase their dreams.

-Poor shooting from the perimeter

-Poor offensive rebounding

We are going to lose pretty often when both those happen.

Right now, I'd say we look like an 6 to 8 seed when it's all said and done. Which is great considering we started the season with national title aspirations.

That's because he didn't. He played good overall except he front rimmed about 4-5 wide open threes. He has to shoot better for us to be good .

I don't know if the "coaching" they have been doing on his shot has anything to do with it or not, but it seems all of his shots are short.
