This makes Cal look really really really bad.

quick hook

and then Cal holds up a stack of $100 bills to the camera and sets them on fire just to drive the point home

Biggest question is what Cal does with PT the next game. Does Allen get a true shot again, even if it's at the expense of a struggling Boston, or does he get the quick hook once again when he's in?
If you really have to ask this question, you have not been paying attention the last 5 years. Not trying to be snarky, but you know the answer.

I'm afraid I do. But Boston is struggling seriously. A reduced role may do him well and if Allen can give us 50% of what he did today and Boston somehow improves, this is a win-win for all.

He deserves to start or come in at first dead ball and play 32-35 minutes and be allowed to make a mistake
He needs to start. There isn't anything missed when he is in the game. You could clearly see how all of his teammates except for Boston was looking for him. Also, the kid wasn't overcome by the moment. He was very relaxed even after missing his first shot.

Honestly all the more reason he needs to be gone. Not playing Allen has cost us 2-3 more games
Yep solid post! Get his *** out of here. Boston/Allen give me a freaking break hell I’d take Brad over Boston but you got to give BJ his props he can move and sing before they throw it up, comical super cool cat, can’t play a lick

I don't hate Cal, and I'm not ready for him to leave, but he needs to take a hard look in the mirror this off-season. He can either adapt to 2020 basketball, or get left behind in the mid 90's. Change or become irrelevant.

Through thick and thin, right? When things get thick, people like you thin out.
Been a fan for 66 years. Have you ever been to Weeksbury or Wheelwright? I bet you never saw a game in Memorial or I bet you never saw Rupp coach a game or shook Joe B.s hand or Rick Pitno’s or taught Oliver Simmons in High School or did the PA for many of Ron Mercer’s games. The older fans expect loyalty from our coach to Ky kids and Ky fans. Not a coach who could care less about Ky or its fans but about getting players to the league. True Ky fans expect nothing but the best and we never accept mediocrity in our basketball program. We grew up without participation trophies. Only winners and losers.

If Allen can continue to play like that it elevates the whole team. If we play through him and he is that lethal from three, it just opens everything else up. That’s exactly what we’ve been missing, a go to guy. No one thought it would be Dontaie Allen this year. But that’s who he was today. Might as well go with it.

Right. Cal said he watched a ton of NBA bubble ball and paid attention to how they played offense. He needs to actually learn from it and see that shooting, spacing, and ball movement are how the game is being played (along with insufferable iso ball from guys like Harden, and that doesn't get it done in the playoffs).

I’ve asked in 4 other posts but no answer yet.....do we know why Allen hasn’t played much this season, as in a true reason?
“I could’ve done it today, but I’m giving these guys that are in front of him the room that they need to be able to miss shots,” Calipari said of Allen following Kentucky’s fifth consecutive loss of the season. “We go in practice and they make shots, but they aren’t making them in the game. It’s not, “I come out every time I miss a shot,” obviously you guys know that’s not true. You try to give them room and encourage them to shoot.” Quote from Coach Cal

Allen should start. Currently, he is the only player that the team really can't win without.
Since he is the only reliable shooter on the team, you child almost say he may be your most valuable player.

You’re delusional if you don’t think he cares about Kentucky or its fans. Btw, why in God’s name would you bring up Rick Pitino in that context? Oliver Simmons? Didn’t he bail on Kentucky as well. I’d rework your talking points.
