By God, if this is a blessing, I'd hate to see a curse.
A loss might have been a blessing but not this one. You don't play as thoroughly bad as tonight and take positives from it. This was one of the more humiliating losses I've seen. The only times we've matched that was when we had teams that were not NCAA field of 64 capable. This team should have been a #1 seed. Being this non-competitive is unacceptable. And as many others stated this will hurt Cal for years to come.
It's game one. One. There are 39 to go. Stop acting like this **** is over after 40 minutes of basketball. We played poorly. Duke played out of their minds and hit 10+ 3s. Let's realize it is a long season and anything can happen.

We already know the answer. Nobody takes it personal. That played with no effort in the first half. They came out in the second half and played with even less, if that's possible. They quit, plain and simple. This was just another AAU game to them.
