The whole “cal circus” is beyond old. He losses every big game, he’ll win one against a good not great team and then gaslight the entire fanbase into thinking we’re all stupid and he is correct. He makes the same mistakes every big game, losses the big game, and we are at the same point we are now. He will do it against Miami at home too, I just hope Kentucky can overcome it at home.

Yes, and by then the Calbois will be saying, "Hey it was a disappointing end to the season but look who's coming in next year! Let's just calm down and see how next season plays out" and rinse, repeat.
This is my last year of giving Cal ANY real slack. We get our bigs back and we need to be kicking ***. End of discussion. Now, if we make o the FF and just get beat on a buzzer beater, what else can you do. We need to be a 1 or 2 seed. No excuses

It’s already being mentioned on Twitter. His jumper is broken and millions of people saw just how broken it was. When you don’t have elite quickness, you can’t simultaneously have a broken jumper.
His main strength is driving to the basket. Everybody knew he wasn't a great shooter.

You've been done with Cal before. You're like a battered wife. The smooth talker always sucks you back in.

I wish I knew what instinct turned some of you people into giant, irrational crybabies after a close loss in early November.

As for the Indiana comparison, well, maybe a few facts would not be out of line:

Kentucky has been as far as the Elite Eight more often since 2017 than Indiana has since 1994.
Kentucky has been to EIGHT Final Fours since 1993. Indiana has been to ONE.
Kentucky has been to SEVENTEEN Elite Eights since 1993. Indiana jas been to ONE.
Kentucky has won Three NCAA championships and seventeen SEC tournament championships since 1988. Indiana has won NOTHING - neither an NCAA tournament nor a Big-10 tournament - in that span.

As for recently: In the last dozen NCAA tournaments, Kentucky has ONE championship FOUR FInal Fours TWO Final Games, SEVEN Elite Eights and more wins than any other program. Indiana has ZEROS in all those categories.

As for this year: Kentucky lost by single digits on the road to the #1 team, with thre players out and five freshmen in their first game. Indiana beat Army at home by single digits.

Don't make idiotic statements like Kentucky is becoming Indiana if you can't back it up. And no one can.
Gospel truth here

The problem is that we have a head coach who doesn't agree with your last statement. I guarantee you he went into last night's game expecting to lose by 8+ points, and was happy when he saw his guys put up a fight. He's not about winning in the moment. He's about "the process", the process that has led nowhere since 2015.
I think he's done a 180 over the last 2 years.

We went from only getting athletes to getting shooters. We got bigs that can stretch the floor. We went from clogging the paint with 2 bigs to playing 5 out.

I think it's fair to expect us to lose last night. Hunter Dickinson is huge and we had no one within 5 inches or 30 lbs of him. That's hard to stop. I thought Cal had the right game plan, and we executed fairly well for 80% of the game. I don't think Cal walked in there waving the white flag.

There are some things he can do better. But he's still learning this team.

If we don't come out and win vs UNC and Miami, I'll be a lot more down on the situation. But assuming we get the 7 footers back, I think this team can be very good very soon.

Exactly, and as long as "the process" ends well on draft night, all is well in CCC's world.

UK is officially the Indiana Hoosiers.

1 and 6 over last 7 in Champions Classic.

1 and 3 over last 4 in CBS Sports Classic.

2 and 9. I want to thank Mitch Barnhart and the Cal fans, neither of which care about UK.

I didn't get to watch the game but I did read the late part of the game thread. I may force myself to watch later. All those last week that were defending Cal and his playing of Reed, wherever Cal goes, go with him. You're not fans of the University of Kentucky.

Remember he doesn't care about winning college basketball game. He only cares about getting players to the pros. Showcasing Wagner cost UK but it helps Wagner. Going one for a million apparently helps nowadays.
And yet the sunshine pumpers can still see the silver lining in such pathetic performances.

Not disagreeing with you. But, UK was making a lot of 3s for a stretch that a Cal coached team does not normally make to get that lead to begin with. But UK does need to do a better job with the lead. Hopefully they figure it out.
They were making 3s in the first half when they were driving and then kicking it out for open looks. 2nd half was just reeves firing away as soon as he touched the ball. And Cal just watched...

I guarantee you every coach in the country is about the process right now. Every coach in the country would be happy with the game UK played given who played and how early it is in the year. Obviously you want to win every game, but literally every single coach in the country right now is worried about a season long process and not just looking for Ws.
59-37 over his last 96 games. Six total tournament wins since the North Carolina loss in 2017.

That's a heck of a process! Good point, man! Your logic will drown out the negative naysayers on this message board!
