Anyone who understands baseball knew Vandy was going to make another push. You had to bring in Sims right there. Our fans need to understand that our coaches aren't all in their feels like our emotional fans are. Lemonis knew we had to win, and Vandy was going to get their runs, Sims or no Sims. There is certainly something to the mentality of when you bring in Sims, but he's got to fight through that, and he did. It was obvious when he got that first out he was about to settle down and deal. Pay no mind to the armchair coaches on this board. They don't even understand how Vandy's scholarships work. And they'll say, "wElL wUt AbOuT tOmOrRoW??? Sure we want to win tomorrow, but winning one was absolutely essential and Lemonis did that. Without winning last night, the possibility to take the series doesn't exist. And also, why take the chance of not being able to use Sims at all, if Vandy had blown us up in the 7th last night?
