Not even through the first full day, half of the first round, and you already have big programs like Kentucky, Indiana, UConn and Iowa out. This is what makes this time of year so special and unlike anything else in sports.

I think the word was out about too many upsets. Vermont and Akron both got hosed by the refs at the end of those games. Looked familiar.
And Rutgers. Don’t forget Rutgers.
Exactly. And, believe it or not, we're now a "veteran" of the tournament - when compared to Notre Dame. None of those seniors had ever played in a tournament for that school. So, if there was an upstart, it was them .. not us.
That said -- I wish we would've won that game!
