Louisville closer got ejected from the game yesterday for saying "that's horrible" about an umpire's ball call. He didn't yell, cuss or really make any big deal about it, but the umpire threw him out. And per the NCAA, it carries an automatic 4-game suspension.

Technically, telling an umpire he made a terrible call isn't arguing with him.Techically, arguing balls and strikes is supposed to be an automatic ejection. Over the last 20 years or so it hasn't been enforced like it should be.
^^ It's really this easyI’m not an umpire, and maybe he had enough. That’s not how you handle it IMO, you call the head coach over between innings and say something like “I’m calling the pitches like I see them both ways, I’ve let your pitch blow off some stream, I’ve had enough of the tantrums, no more warnings...and if he acts out again I’m gonna toss him. Suggest you have a word with him so I don’t have to do that.”
I don't have many pet peeves but one of them is umpires that show up thinking they are part of the show.
I was watching when it happened and it was total BS. Announcers couldn’t believe it and the ump never gave a warning. Give a warning before tossing a guy out.
I was watching the UT game last night, and their HC and players were routinely and openly jawing at the home plate ump. I couldn’t believe he didn’t throw any of them out.
Did he use a word that is a no no with umpires?
