Since you asked...kind of...
Positives: MSU may have a historical win streak against Ole Miss in the fallout (although history seems to show that we don't ever take full advantage of these situations). Everyone now sees Freeze for who many of us believed he was in the first place; an over the top snake oil salesman who has years of smoke surrounding him about improprieties with females. Now we don't have keep hearing the delusion that he's such a great guy that he can just somehow recruit really well because of his faith and God's favor. If State had hired someone to follow Croom who's experience was Briarcrest Vollleyball/Basketball, Lambuth, Arky State and he came in and landed a top 5 recruiting class in year 2 after a mediocre year 1 coaching, absolutely NOBODY, including State fans would believe that we did that straight up. The number of Ole Miss fans willing to just accept that somehow they had finally found the coach who could properly portray their school so that the world could just now see how great a place it is was baffling. I completely get how much I care about MSU and that it is colored by my years in school there, and that it might just be a little subjective...Personally, I'll use this example to try to be objective about my opinions and fine tune my radar in cases where I really want to believe something for which there is substantial information to the contrary of what I want a situation to be.
Negatives: As a husband and father to a daughter and a Christian, it breaks my heart and angers me to see the destruction that he has brought on his entire family. Typically girls have a >90% chance of marrying someone like their dad. If you are a dad to a daughter and you are involved in selfish behavior that would have a huge negative impact on her, just quit! She is GOING to marry someone JUST LIKE YOU, except in a few exceptional cases. Be the person you want her to marry. I legit never bought his whole preaching spiel, but some will use this to bash Christianity, despite the fact that what Freeze did was not representative of what Christ did or modeled.
If I could re-write the story, I'd have Freeze cast as the gullible rube Christian who really was who he pretended to be and was a great husband and father to his girls, who UM used as their front man while "they" did what it took to get him players. He would've still taken a fall for not knowing what he should've known but he'd mostly be guilty of being dumb or naive, with a little bit of putting his head in the sand and hoping that it wasn't what it looked like. As it stands their is a family that is destroyed, a university with a history of bad press getting more and a nation watching that can't/won't make much distinction between MSU/Ole Miss or Christianity/Flawed Christians. Lose/Lose
