USC hold badly every play. No call. Missed facemask, bad spots. They aren’t even hiding it .

This is a clear joke of officiating. Literal hold on almost every single USC offensive play. So clear that even my wife is yelling at the TV.
Not rigged. USC just has play makers who continue to make plays. We don’t. We knew thier D would tighten up. Ours hasn’t

Refs blow dirty ASHOLS. But another QB looking like a drunk toddler throwing the ball is the bigger issue .

And don't forget the roughness penalty on Wetjen's return. He's standing out of bounds by a couple of yards, a USC guy comes along and drills him, somebody throws a flag, but then the officials huddle and say, "Who the hell threw that flag? What were you thinking? Pick the damn thing up."
And so they did.
Yah, that was a helluva play by USC when that deflected pass went directly into their hands. Another brilliant play when their RB fumbles, four Hawkeyes around it, and USC recovers. Not to mention Wetjen makes the catch at the 7 with two minutes to go and slides out of bounds by, what, half an inch? That's some damn brilliant playmaking all right. Don't know why KF can't pull that stuff off.
Remember: the missed 15 yd facemask was immediately followed by an Iowa turnover.
And the UNSPORTSMANLIKE PENALTY on the Iowa bench ended the game, with Lincoln Riley jumping into a coach's arms.
yes the ref missed calls but the defense and the offense didn't do anything in the 2nd half.

Loved that "amazing restraint" flag pickup on the USC punt defender clearly pausing when Wetjen did, but then proceeding on to 'barrel' forward and give him a shot a few feet OOB.
As much as it sucked, that 'missed' call is hell of a lot more forgivable than all the missed holds/hands to the face/facemasks and late hits, etc.
Iowa definitely got at best the C crew today. They didn't make things easy for Iowa. Made a lot of questionable no calls, and ending the game how they did is questionable too. They definitely aren't the reason though why Iowa couldn't stop the USC receivers.

He didn't "slide out of bounds". He jumped when he didn't need to, otherwise he lands in bounds. Not really when you consider they had the benefit if replay. I told the wife you could see green in front of his white shoe. Clear contrast.
No and their QB is amazing. Great pocket awareness, very accurate, and on time with his throws, (MG's biggest weakness).
