I have to agree at this point. I hate ND but Penn State still honoring Pedo Joe Pa makes me hate them too. But them winning is better for the BIG10.
For me, this game is great BECAUSE...
The spread out nature of the playoff bowl games increases my enjoyment of each one. I finally have time to read & hear some of the personal stories about players & coaches from each team vs the days of them all being played on New Year's Day, which was a lot to absorb on one day.Yeah, we were discussing the two QBs last night and how they both limit their team at times. I decided if I had a to take 1 it would be Allar because I’ve seen him have good/decent passing games, and Leonard is too one dimensional. Then literally 2 minutes after that Leonard throws a 60 yd TD and then, eventually, Allar throws the game crushing INT.
Not sure I’d still take Allar over Leonard after watching that 2nd half…
Agreed. Allar was just so highly touted, but yet struggles so bad to find anyone after his first read and also seems to not try to throw anything over 15 yards unless it is to his all world TE. It's almost comical. I feel bad for PSU as they have a pretty solid D and a great OL with two of the best backs in the game. They were running all over ND and then just stopped. Crazy.,,,
Allar had two amazing deep looks on the play action and missed them both. One was hitch and go double move that was a sure TD. The other was a wheel route he over threw to the back from the 10 yd line. IDK if he was gonna go 90 yds but it was gonna go a long ways. I can think of about 3-4 plays where Allar likely cost them the game and another 3-4 that cost them in a big way.
