Either the committee values the NET above the eye test or they don’t. If they do, we’re headed to Dayton as we will have the lowest NET in the tourney of the at-larges. If they don’t, then we’re fine and an 11-seed at least. But beating Iowa wouldn’t have made our NET magically jump 30 spots. We’re in the same spot right now that we were hours ago.

the question is now do we root for some bid stealers so that we stay out of the first four? Or is that not the case

Indeed it doesn’t. Still more likely in than out, but not non-zero in.

Root for bid stealers to stay out of the first four??? What??? If by that you mean do we root for bid stealers so we stay out of the first four and play in the NIT instead, the answer is no.

I believe we are a 12 seed, but could be out if the committee only takes 8 Big Ten teams

The loss to Iowa makes selection for the NCAA tourney far more precarious.A win today and Rutgers would be in far better shape.

I think they put us in the first 4 team make us prove we belong. Most people know we belong but the committee won’t want to deal with our controversial resume by placing us higher. Provided no more upsets, it’s Dayton I believe.

We lost to ****** teams,
BUT
****** Teams Aren't gonna be in the field

So why is this held against us?

We beat 4 top 25 teams in a row & a #1 team in the country. That's a perfect NCAA resume to me.
