I vote the next person who does a Duke thread be castrated and set on fire.
If Duke goes 40-0, it'll be like ripping the scab off the Wisconsin game, rubbing salt in it, sneezing in it, and putting bumblebees in the wound sealed by a layer of hot sauce.

When they run into a team with quickness that can shoot the ball they're in trouble. Michigan State at this stage is very overrated.

Achilles Heel- defense. Duval is decent, but Allen is still a liability on that end of the floor. Trent doesn't seem to be a great defender. Their bigs are pretty average it seems. That is why they played zone almost all night.
I could see teams like Nova or ND spreading them out and shooting them out of the zone and then taking them off the dribble.
Might see a hot shooting mid-major upset them if they have to play one. I think Vermont would give them a game, much like they did us

I’ve made numerous comments about the ridiculous obsession of duke on this board, so yeah.

Living/working minutes from Duke, I hate them more than most UK fans. And last year I knew they were being way overrated. So I hate to say it, but this Duke team is the real deal. Much like that Duke team around 2000 (that didn't win it all). The starting 5 is really good, better than our starting 5 in 14-15. We won't see their bench much, but I suspect it is ok, but not even close to what we had in 14-15, but certainly good enough (IF they have no extended injuries).
This Duke team, just has the pieces fitting together better than most recent Duke teams.

Mine never scabbed over , it's still bleeding. It changed me . Couple of years ago I would have been PISSED losing to Kansas . I'm not even disappointed now . Regular season games just aren't as important to me now .
That would be redemption! I know we lost to Wisconsin, but for some strange reason it made me hate Duke more . They are the ones that truly benefitted from Wisconsins win .

They looked great against MSU. At the buzzer. After MSU had pissed away its last four possessions. And at several times during the game when they were wailing on MSU--before MSU turned around and wailied on them. If this Duke team goes 40-0 it's gonna be one boring basketball season.

True and I'll definitely revise if they look much different against quality after he comes back. But for now I've seen what I've seen. And I happen to know Coach K is pretty darn good at subtraction by addition.
Ok, real talk. Would you take a Duke 40-0 season if K retired afterwards? That's assuming we don't win it of course.

As a too-early-to-tell assessment, Duke looks awesome compared to others, on paper and on the floor. But, it is a long season. Hard to get 40 straight, regardless of talent. Too much happens. But, they have to be the favorite and there is no other team I can think of for which this question could be asked this year.
