This could be a simple fix

Alright so hear me out on this one...wanna start off by saying I cannot be convinced that some of these players are as bad as it seems. There is a simple concept that could probably turn this team into at least a much better/entertaining product than what is being put on the floor. What is that simple concept? Oh I don’t know it’s something I learned in 2nd or 3rd grade science....ADAPTATION. The concept of adaptation is quite simple, you either adapt to your environment or you die. Quite frankly the environment of college basketball and especially the NBA has changed over the years to being fast pace, run and gun and nail the 3 ball. Your traditional big man is a thing of 10-15+ years ago....and that is where our problem is. The offensive philosophy and mindset that John Calipari shows on night end and night out are stale, and extremely out-dated. This is why we have so many players come in an underperform and then go on to show their capabilities in the NBA, as I expect BJ Boston to do. I think it’s becoming quite obvious how Cal’s offense limits his players. And sadly I’m not sure if it’s his ego or if he skipped 3rd grade science, but he appears to not understand the concept of adaptation. Adapt or drown folks. So far it appears to be drowning.

This is why I can’t get mad at the players, they have no coach. Calipari has failed this group. Until we have an offense that opens the floor up, creates spacing we’re going to continue to sink.

Lastly, I do have have one question. Does anyone remember the last time we ran back door cuts for lob dunks? We used to do this all the time and I cannot remember the last time I’ve seen it happen.

Good night folks, hopefully this year will be an eye opener for some philosophy changes for Cal. If not it’s time to go separate ways.

The main reason those players are better in the NBA is because Calipari ISNT coaching them anymore. Maybe not in his first 5 years here, but definitely in his last 5. I’d be happy if someone could change my mind but I doubt you can. Maturation only accounts for a little bit in one and dones. We are talking about a matter of months.
