If we don’t make the tournament, this will be an epic collapse . Something this group and pike may never recover from. The pressure will be too great next season . And if you’re not gonna make the tournament in year 5, than when are you gonna make it ?
Bannon’s team collapsed in 99 and he was fired 2 years later. Waters collapsed in 04 and we was gone 2 years later .
Basically just get this done now and don’t collapse . Make the tournament and make us proud

Meh. If anything is going do Pike in, it’s his recruiting. We should be at least as good next year, and if we’re still recruiting in the bottom quarter of the league, it will be more telling of where we’ll be longer term.

You guys are unreal

You guys realize this is the toughest basketball confrence in the country and I do not think I have ever seen the quality of depth in a league like this in 40 years

And this team ...all of our players are learning how to win when NO ONE before them has any damn experience in how to win ...as
A young group growing up together.

This is a young team that comes out and competes Crazy hard and has 8 big ten wins ...and in its six losses, it took most
Of them to the wire

We are going to be so much better for this next year....but we will get it done right here and right now

March 15th is coming ...and our name is getting called between 6-7 pm

Let’s go defend home turf tomorrow and stop

We’re doomed. We will never win. Why bother to show up to the game. We have no chance. Can’t believe this young team can’t sweep through the 3rd toughest schedule in the country over the last 8 games in the toughest conference in the country. Time to blow up the program and start playing TCNJ.

Remember we were picked to finish 12th. I for one have been happy about the excitement and games have been a lot of fun. Thank you for your concern.

It's because you guys have had reason to, en masse, pay attention to NCAA selection criteria within the last 15 years. We haven't. So half of our fan base is thinking hard to remember who got shafted in 2002 and why

Schiano took over a bottom dweller just like Pike did. It took him 5 years to get it moving forward and that was helped by Rice Greene and Lee falling into his lap. We are 16 and 0 at home!! Yes we are problematic on the road but we have not lost a game by more than 10 all year. We are in the Big 10. We are still Rutgers a name synonymous with epic failures and the butt of jokes athletically .. Just let it go ? Please? Let the man do his job or maybe we should bring back EJ!?

What everyone seems to be unaware of is our record at 7-3 was solely based on how the schedule fell. We'd played 10 games but 6 at home. And we managed to grab the win at Nebraska.
Now the schedule has balanced out so we've lost the road games and won the home games. Just like we have all season.

No swoon. Just keep holding serve and we'll be fine since we already have one break.

Of course it’s possible. Could’ve happened against Nebraska. Could’ve happened against Northwestern.

You really need help. NO ONE ever thought we would be 17-8 (8-6) after 25 games.. Quit whining and enjoy the ride

Sheesh, this team is 1-2 years ahead of schedule and doing things few thought it would. Worst case they don’t make it and they just weren’t ready. Try and enjoy these games and remember how awesome meaningful college basketball is in February.

What a sh*t thread.

We lost 3 out of our last 4 games.... We were underdogs in all 3.

"If we dont make it in year 5, then when will we make it"? How about year 6?

Waters never got fired.

It will sting if we dont make it but considering the schedule it wont be this historic choke that you're trying to make it out to be.

I dont think RU missing the NCAA's in 99 played much of a factor is Bannon forcing them to run sprints naked.

Stupid thread... even if we stumble against some very good teams and are on the wrong side of the bubble, we'll still do better than 90% of people thought we would - remember we were picked 12th preseason and nobody had us on the radar to be competing for the tourney or becoming ranked or being 16-0 at home. If we were preseason #10, like OSU was, and lost our last 7 games to miss the tourney (and they would, at 16-15/6-14), that would be an epic collapse. Or even worse, being a team like UNC, who was preseason top 11 and is not going to make it without winning their conference tourney. So, if we don't make it, it'll hurt bad (really, really friggin' bad, but why even focus on that now?), but Pike and team will be ok, plus we should be improved next year.
