How the F is UK not in the top 15 yet UNC and Mich St are ? And wisconsin? I mean there is no rationale explanation to have UK any where below 10 or 11. None . I literally fell out of my chair when I saw this as I said to myself "well no way they are going to disrespect us 2 weeks in a row right?" and then I opened the page .

Yeah of coarse but no one can say this isn't silly. I do like it from the aspect of motivation if this kids see it but simply it DOES matter as how the world thinks of the team is reflected by the tourney committee so it is important . For example 2 seasons ago Duke has zero business being a 1 seed it should of been UK's 1 seed but duke got it due to how the world saw Duke vs UK and UK was clearly the better team and the 2nd best team in the country that year going into the tourney and it was proven out .Duke lost in the 2nd round to USC and UK out played UNC the eventual champion but a the refs stole it from us .

What I do find funny and plays into the Anti-UK theory is go to the ESPN homepage for college basketball and you won’t find one mention on the front page of us beating up on the Cards In their gym even though we were the only top 25 team playing a marquee game today and a huge rivalry at that..

You would think since Duke didn’t play today there should have been plenty of room for ESPN to mention Kentucky atleast once..

But don’t worry when UNC and Duke play each other we will have to hear about it the entire week leading up to it no matter what their rankings are..

WIS got beat today by 6-6 WKU. They will make us slowly crawl up the rankings to keep us from a top seed. Same every year. We drop like a stone, but rise very slowly no matter the big wins.

Right now I think come Monday we should be at least ranked 12th and a 3 seed as far as projections go. I don't think that is too crazy, but we probably will only move up 1 or 2 spots to say 15th and be viewed as a 4-5 seed. It just shows after we beat the cheats last week that gave them 1 more loss than us and 1 of there's is to TX and yet they were still out in front of us. We just have to keep stacking wins and not worry about it.

UK has the conference schedule to get to a 1 or 2 seed in the ncaa tournament. Other teams are going to lose multiple games. I think it may boil down to UK or UT as the 1 seed in the Louisville regional.

Yes, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they released that when they did just to not take into account UK's likely win at Louisville. And they also know that UK's internet fanbase is large and would react to this and click on it, and talk about it to anyone and everyone, so they're also getting clicks and money for sponsors and themselves. They're not the only online media outlet that trolls UK fans.

I can't imagine these writers would hate us THAT much and be this petty.. But at the same time it makes no sense. It seems they are trying every which-way to keep us off the ranking. That 16-team ranking has certainly worked against us for like 3 weeks now.

You’ve seen different match-ups than the one issued on Sunday by the NCAA? In my experience, it’s been 100% accurate.

I don't sweat this too much.

When it's all said and done, it's the committee that's going to decide what seeding we eventually get.

If ESPN thinks we are not a top 16........ok.

But the other reason why I don't sweat it is because the difference between the 5th best team in the nation and 15th best team isn't as large as most tend to believe. So with human rankings, if one has us 5 and another has us like 15........it's hard to argue with either one (numbers just for illustrative purposes)
