Just posted this in a separate thread. This is not about Sharpe! This is about a business model that Cal has created. It's about a long pattern of behavior. It's about having to field an entirely new team year after year after year. 6, 7 or 8 new guys every damn year.

People wouldn't be angry with Cal if this was something out of the ordinary. But it's not. It's just business as usual.
THIS!!!
Well stated. Although I think the fan base would have been ticked and Calipari would have caught flack regardless. But it would never have been to this extent

Problem here is no one except the involved parties know the absolute truth. Did Cal lie or was he lied to or mislead?? We don't know and likely never will. Either way you're the captain of the ship and it fall in you. Bad look no matter the truth
The one thing we know for sure is that Sharpe .. lied to big blue nation.. He said he'd 100% be at Ky next year. So common sense tells me if he lied in public then he was lying to Cal. He played in a high school game on Oct 21st. Those who hate Cal will use this to further their agenda all based on Heresey or just made up versions of what happened

Cal lied to us. It’s as clear as day. Seriously, he tried to tell us it was best for Sharpe to come back to inprove his draft position. That was a lie.
You’re choosing to be naive, but this is not how you run a college program, especially this one.
What exactly was the lie? What was the exact quote. What was the non-Jeffy Poo established fact that he misrepresented? Spit out our Jeffy Poo. You can’t can you.

Winning cures everything, Cal makes it to final four or further, this is a non-issue (at least for me it would have been) Last year's record and the debacle this year only fueled the fire in today's announcement ,even though we knew this was coming.

Nobody is saying Cal shouldn’t have taken a chance on SS. Get that through your head.

It’s what he told us throughout the whole process. He lied to us from stem to stern.

He led us to believe SS would not be draft eligible, then he tried to convince us that it was best for Sharpe to return to UK TO IMPROVE HIS LOTTERY PICK POSITION.

That was a bold faced lie. Who the hell turns down a lottery pick draft position to go play college ball? Cal tried to pass that meatball by us. He’s a fvcking liar.

If Cal wants to roll the dice on a bigtime player like Sharpe, fine, but don't frealing lie about it.
Wow! Make up stuff much? Cal said that Sharpe's people said he would be back. Cal didn't lie, he had no control over the situation. It's not becoming to make things up. He wanted Sharpe to play, he wanted Sharpe to come back, he told us what he knew at the time. Get a grip on life dude. You sounding crazy

Cal should have done his due diligence on the high school graduation issue. If he had he would have known that he would be NBA eligible and should have played him last season. Cal is clueless.

No I'm not, I'm just seeing this for what it is and either way, Cal screwed up.

You can take the cop out approach and blame it on Sharpe, but that still doesn't excuse Cal. In that scenario, it would mean that Cal got duped by a hs kid and his family and that Cal didn't know the entry rules and it would also say that Cal didn't know Sharpe graduated in May.

Just the fact that Cal tried to convince us that it was in Sharpe's best interest to return to improve his lottery draft position. Come on man, that was a lie. This is Cal we're talking about. That was a lie.

This is Kentucky, not Wayne State, this crap shpuld never happen here.
Apparently nobody did Jeffy Poo. This didn’t crystallize till today. Maybe the head coaches on PlayStation are all clairvoyant? You have the logic of a garden rat….face.

When did cal say that sharpe wasn’t eligible for the draft? I don’t remember that. All the talk about improving his draft spot and turning down money already in order to play college ball, that was all sharpes people and it’s well documented. The sharpe camp was adamant and when asked about it, cal just echoed what they had already said. What was he to do, refute them? Your anger is misplaced. The sharpes are ********.
Simple question for you.

Do you think SS was allowed to enroll in UK classes without SOMEONE actually checking his high school grades transcript????

Do you even think SS could enroll as a full time student in ANY university WITHOUT graduating from HS or having at least a GED??

Please just stop with all the " he didn't know" BS in an effort to cover up for Cal in this.

You sound like a Tik Tok video. "He didn't know". LMAO

You you can enroll in college without a degree. I did as a high school junior. Check NCAA clearinghouse. 3 doors down by the one labeled Duke.

Cal should not have teased the fans by pretending to check him into a game. Cal also should not have urged fans to come watch him warm up. He was stupid to do those things. He also should have played him this past year. But I don’t want him to stop bringing in kids like sharpe. I don’t want to see another kid waste our time like this though.

cal is not blameless here but a lot of what he said was rehash from the sharpe camp. I maintain that the sharpes are the true villains in all this. Maybe I just really hate liars. Everything you claim that cal lied about was birthed by the sharpes and Their numerous interviews. They always spoke first. Then cal. If you can provide anything that refutes this then perhaps I’d change my stance.

We will be worse than we were last year because with each passing season Cal gives less and less of a ****. About Kentucky basketball and Kentucky fans especially. All you idiots defending him at every cost, he doesn’t give a single **** about you, hates your guts actually.

No he can't, he will just start talking to himself on one of these threads where he posts like 5 in a row when no one can get a word in. There is no proof yet

You have no idea what he knew when he knew it. You're acting like a spoiled child who didn't get the christmas present he wanted and then making up a scenario which proves that you were irrevocably harmed. Fans like you are the problem, not the coach who tried to bring in a top 10 player.

Question, when you make up these stories do you make up different voices for each person?

Stop acting like you know something just because you're mad at Cal. We have no idea what Cal believed.

Sorry that we expect a recruit that committed here and joined the team to actually play for the team they committed to.

$9 million man has "no control over the situation" - fine, then fire his *** for incompetence. Now we have actual cause so his buyout can be voided. "Lack of institutional control," I believe the NCAA calls it.

If Cal didn't tell you personally he lied and knew what SS was going to do then why call him a lier? No one on this forum knows anything about what goes on inside the program. Some people can't get away from conspiracies and just want to find something negative with everything UK. You're life would be a lot more peaceful if you'd relax.
Blood pressure medicine is probably taken like tic tacs here.
