And I was there! I would love to see the look of sad Bama faces again just one more time before I die.

[Maroon Eagle]

I was one of them.

[TaleofTwoDogs]

Billy Jackson was a baddddd man........

[West Houston Dog]

I was there.

drove over from Houston with my cousin.

After all the previous years of losses....it was one gratifying memorable fantastic day.

Somewhere I still have the next day's Clarion Ledger with the headline:

STATE 6
BAMA 3

I was not there, but my dad was. We had moved to Alabama by then, and he and some of his coworkers made the trip over to Jackson. I listened to the game on the radio, but it was Forney's broadcast, not Cristil's. My dad and his buddies were in the Bama section, and he had some fantastic stories about the Bama fans inability to deal with the situation.

One fan punched a mirror in the Men's room. The mirrors were metal, and not glass. He went directly to the Emergency room.

Was about 13 years old listening to it in Jackson TN on an AM radio station broadcast from who knows where. So much static, but somehow I could always make out what Jack was saying.

I was there with my wife, my late younger brother, and my neighbor and his wife(who were Bama fans). My son was a freshman at State. My older late brother wouldn't come....I really enjoyed calling him and just saying "Oh ye of little faith" and then hung up..

[Bulldog Bruce]

I was there. It was one of only 3 games I attended in Jackson while I was at school. That sucked so bad back then when we had only 2 campus games each year.

[Dawgpile]

I was there; Broken leg in a cast, but I was there.

[MarkDallas]

I wasn't there. But I was there the next time we beat Alabama.

[Hatchie Dawg]

13 y/o on a canoe trip with a bunch of friends. I was the only state guy. Held my head up pretty high that day.

I was in 10th grade and was there with a friend who was a bama fanatic. Typical bama fan, never went there and never even was on campus. As soon as they came out we got eleventy billion I was there stickers and covered his white monte carlo with them one school night so he had to drive to school with them on.

Just out of curiosity, how did you get the news that we had won?
