Once you think it through, you wonder if Michigan State isn’t looking out for itself long term.


With Rutgers likely on the verge of being asked to leave the B10 (https://theathletic.com/4748780/2023/08/07/big-ten-realignment-rutgers/?amp=1), you’ve got to wonder if storied (but presently not that great) programs like Michigan State would rather see Rutgers-like teams stick around.

Whether intentionally or subconsciously, this win gives RU some much needed breathing room, and also looks like a long-term win for the MSU’s of the conference by maybe just keeping us around…..
