Just thinking about how similar the women's BB saga with schaefer has been so much like FB with mullins. The trajectory of both programs following a rags to historic riches pattern. The way both coaches built a large loyal fanbase then bolted for greener pastures. Both leaving their successor a loaded roster and very high expectations right out of the gate. JC bringing in highly regarded but lightly experienced coaches that were both widely considered as home-run hires. Now the thing that keeps one up at night is this (well...not really). We all know what happened on the football field. I cannot see that happening on the hardwood but dang its hard to keep the thought from creeping up in one's mind sometimes.

Ah well, not worth losing sleep over it. Even if I did use that cliche'.

Some people are like slinkies, they don't really have a purpose. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Lots of what ifs with MSU sports. What if...

Morgan hadn’t taken a line drive off the ankle in ‘85
Vanderbilt didn’t have the opportunity fund cheat code in baseball
Bullard hadn’t thrown the Final 4 game against Syracuse
Bender, Ellis, Outlaw come to school
Stansbury had left for Clemson
We hadn’t dug ourselves a hole against Bama in ‘14
We had won the egg bowl in ‘14

It bugs me how phones and calculators have the numbers arranged differently. Pick one!

if the serial down downvoter has that much time on his hands, why hasn't he swerved into oncoming traffic already?

Also, what is the endgame of this quarantine since the goalposts appear to move based on certain daily statements.

How in the hell can someone have a .600 OBP? I know how (120 IBB + a **** ton of regular walks), but still seeing that value on baseball reference is shocking. On base six out of every ten at bats.

He apparently had 232 walks that year. Yikes. And I'm assuming reaching on an error and grounding into a fielder's choice would factor into OBP as well. Almost as crazy, Tony Gwynn is only 111th on the all time OBP list, below the likes of Jason Giambi and Nick Johnson.

What happens if you get scared half to death twice?

What color does a Smurf turn when you choke it?

(This is an old George Carlin). Can God make a rock so big that he can't lift it?

Your hands (and therefore digits) are arranged differently (ergonomically?) for each tool. You hold them and use them differently. They are arranged for ease of use. If you're holding (or using) a calculator like you would a phone then you are doing it wrong.

If we are all honest, I bet MSU is in 80% of our random thoughts. Is this a good or bad thing? I wonder about that sometimes too.

Most of mine are envisioning how we actually win our first national title.

Some non-MSU things:

1) Will we run out of oil? Will the ground cave in where we have removed it all?
2) If we keep cutting down forests, will we run out of air? Is it even physically possible to cut down all forests? Seems like it's inevitable, but in how many thousand years?
3) How long will it take for a tornado to finally get me?
4) Think of the absolute worst imaginable ways to die. Somewhere, there are people who have felt that pain.
5) Is living on Mars the 'next frontier' of the modern age? Could this solve the over-population problem?
6) Will Google Earth eventually be real time?
7) How will driverless cars swerve potholes?
8) Why aren't baseballs waterproof?

How if the universe is 13.8 billion years old ... how is there a galaxy observed 32 billion light years away.
And if it took 32 billion years for light to reach us...where is it now (how far away).

Should have realized before now that there is certainly someone on this board that knows the answers.

1. Yes. Yes.
2. Yes. Probably. Not thousands, more like 1 - 2 hundred.
3. The day before we win our first natty or May 5, 2030 whichever come first.
4. Not any more, they're dead.
5. No. No, the virus will take care of that.
6. Yes, when they decode more Roswell alien technology.
7. They won't. Your comfort is not their concern.

You're welcome.

Reaching by error and on by fielders choice both negatively affect OBP. Both are counted as outs same as making any other out.
