Lafayette toy’d with our feeble attempt at pressure and dominated us rebounding.
We couldn’t control or defend a simple inside out play at games end

I just said this in another thread. We lose geo, Ron and probably at least 2 major transfers because every team loses guys especially crappy teams. Wouldn’t be shocked to see Jones and Cliff move on and we are left with next to nothing

Let’s be fair ...as bad as that was, the lack of offense is by far the most disturbing thing

And it’s not the 4-26 from three

Take away the dunks ...our 2 percentage was awful to a flat foot slow zone defense

Minnesota basically fielded a team from scratch this past offseason. They look WAY better than us so far.

These are D 1 athletes, where’s the coaching Shack.
Where’s the point guard

They used the portal. We had one decent player fall into our lap and then pIke tried and failed miserably and we would up with Agee,
Our 8 ft (or 6’6” center depending on who you ask), who can’t get off the bench against 0-4 (now 1-4) Lafayette.

Just posted that pike made a real mess by trying to make Paul a point and geo a two guard and we are so far out of whack because of it

Coaching created a lot of things mess . Way too much thinking going on and not enough playing

Pike thought there was a gentleman's agreement not to recruit anyone else's starters in the portal.

Because there is nothing being run . All we do is pass on the perimeter against the zone like a cyo team would do. I would never play an ounce of man against us after watching Merrimack and Lafayette’s zone against us. I guess the leopards have a great zone as well

I've been saying this for two years.
I didn't see the game but did we run our famous "screen the ball 25 feet from the basket" play?
That always seems to work.

No, because they were in zone . However you must pass to the wing, pass to the top of key, pass to the other wing, Jack up a 3.

I thought my Raiders were in bad shape, and we are, but to lose to DePaul, who had won 7 total games over two years. Ok. On the road, maybe u can make that argument. To score 51 at home vs an 0-4 Lafayette. This just ruined anyone’s thoughts of a fun spring for RU hoops, that’s for sure.

He looked miserable on the floor too.

1-6 from 2pt
0-4 from 3 pt
One player should't be identified when its a collective futility on offense. What concerns me is how unprepared the team is to play on offense and defense.

we have tall athletes who look good on posters and getting off the bus. we dont have many good basketball players,

but i give pike credit....our team poster is much more impressive than Lafayette's. If you predict a score based on looking at the posters, we'd have crushed them by 50.

I had another post with team futility.
This was in response to 1 player looking miserable on the bench & poster alluding to him wanting out via portal because he was above the mess.
