Things Getting Worse For UConn

Hate UConn and their fans and love to see them suffer.Feel bad for the kid though and it sucks for anyone to get hurt.
Why couldn't we play them this year. I'd love to put a 40 point beatdown on them.
Was hoping UConn fans would suffer a little longer before they get a new coach. At this rate Ollie will be lucky to make it out if the season employed.
Both of these teams are not good IMO. Oregon has no structure to their offense at all. They're tryin to run their version of DDMO but Altman has no clue what he's tryin to teach. Neither team has a big that has a clue on offense. But yeah UConn is WOW bad! Oregon hasn't impressed me either though.
All I can say as a fan who has been blessed to witness 4 championships in my lifetime (still in my 20s). The start to this season has me humbled.
Also for those who are college bball fans. Check out Jalen Adams when he plays on national tv. He averaged 27 points in Maui on 64% shooting, and unlike most other college bball stars very few of his points came off the free throw line (attempted only 9 the whole tournament). IMO his performance was even better than Kemba's in 2010...

You have quite the set of nuts on you to try and talk to UK fans after what UCONN has done to us recently. Good luck, lad.
This Uconn team doesn't look like the type of team that has the talent to knock any of the title contending teams out of the NCAA tourney. It doesn't look like they will even make it there, but after watching that school for so long, one thing you notice about those guys is the fact you can never count them out this early into the season. Ollie has a lot of work ahead of him if he wants that trend to continue. After winning a national championship, Uconn fans better hope Ollie is a better coach than he is showing at this point of the season. After that ring he won, it is going to be tough for that school to ever even think about firing him and hiring a brand name coach to get that program back to making final fours with a title every so often. I know it seems those guys have had Kentucky's # lately, but this current team isn't one of those teams we will be spending the year dreading to play.
Here's my theory on Ollie... he's a player's coach to a fault. He's like a cheerleader on the sideline in many ways. So long as he had Calhoun's players, he was successful. They had been taught and knew how to work hard. Even when Ollie wasn't really preparing the team, the vets could carry them and show the young guys the ropes.
But this team is pretty much Ollie's team, almost entirely his recruits. His recruiting has dropped off from what Calhoun was bringing in. More importantly, the discipline and defensive tenacity that always marked UConn teams is slipping away from what I can see. It seems Ollie, while a much loved Coach by his players, may be in over his head a bit.
This situation reminds me of Tubby Smith at UK. (sorry to mention him, not wanting to stir anything up) Tubby won the title with Pitino's recruits. And he had some good players after that and several good seasons, but his recruiting dropped off and his team's offensive game was just not championship caliber. And he's never really come close to winning another title since 1998. I think Ollie is the same story.

His recruiting hasn't dropped off though, just the play on the court. Ollie lands four star players with an occasional five star and top transfers like Purvis and Larrier, very similar to the classes Calhoun usually brought in imo. Good scouting of tough high school players might've dropped off.
They will give Ollie atleast another 5 years since he stole one from us in 2014
