1. Defense not the same, even in recent wins;
2. Harper AWOL since Iowa;
3. Myles getting called for fouls early has hurt him;
4. Geo really off;
5. Paul Mulcahy is really off;
6. Substitution patterns are hurting us.

Before the usual suspects say I’m too pessimistic/etc - dispute any of the above with me. If we lose at Maryland then we will be on a two game losing streak for the first time since forever. At that point, are you really as confident we will dance? You are lying if you say you are as confident.

Since Geo came back. No coincidence. Game winning shot not withstanding, he's been very sloppy, can't shoot real well, and I feel his return threw off the chemistry. We made the run yesterday with him on the bench....

Everytime Young came in we got a spark, would be interesting to look at +/- for yesterday

Could we see a Young, Mathis, McConnell, Yeboah Johnson starring lineup? If Harper continues to struggle maybe coming off the bench would spark him. We may also need to shorten the bench as i don’t know what Paul Mulcahy is offering at this moment which helps us.

The core of the team is sophomores with a primary junior leader. It’s a solid team, but they unfortunately may be in a bit of a sophomore slump. It will be good long term for everyone for them to fight through this, but I would plan on it being a rough 2-3 weeks ahead. If they can fight through and generate momentum into post season they may do a lot of damage and have some strong runs in the B1G tourney and hopefully NCAA. However, the key questions will be how will they respond for now and how long until they snap out of it.

The question is how much progress are we actually going to make this year. Road games at Iowa, Michigan (sort of), Iowa and Illinois were all extremely winnable. We won zilch.
We were picked I believe 13th in the league. Not many thought the beginning of the year we had winnable games on the road. Maybe it is as simple we are much better than last year but not good enough/yet to get over the hump of winning on the road. Not many B1G teams are doing that this year
