Wait a second, zipp and Kerry Rhodes are now enemies! First the Fat Boys break up, now this. There’s nothing to believe in. I haven’t been to the Louisville Rivals site in years. Forgot about it to be honest. The 2 or 3 times a year I want to see Louisville fans wallowing in misery, I go to the 247 site....

Dirtiest program in the history of college basketball, well maybe with the exception of KU, and they want to call us cheaters, simply because they cannot understand why top notch recruits do not want to attend a commuter college. [roll]

Damn, they ban people so fast for doing NOTHING more than advancing compelling, cogent, and fact based arguments. Salty bitches indeed.

They havent even been punished yet for their Pay for Play scandle. They have so many scandles going right now it's hard for them to keep track.

If I were a Cards fan (Thank God I'm not!) the last thing I would be doing is casting judgement on other schools who I THINK are paying players...

That fanbase is insane. I know every fanbase has their crazy people, including ours but it seems to be a requirement to be UofL fan.

Lol, what?
My reaction exactly, "got out spent" "had his hands out" have to admit unsure if the OP was talking about Askew, or Bowens??? Or did I just dream up that whole FBI vs Shoe Company Scandal thing?? Which by the way there still is a letter of allegations from the NCAA on the AD's desk that has to be answered for, that in itself could influence a prospect's decision!!

I might save that title for UNC... 20 years plus of institutional cheating.

Louisville doesn’t play the shoe game??? [laughing][laughing]
“Louisville has never played the shoe game” may be the single dumbest and most delusional thing ever said in the history of the internet, which of course is merely an archive of the dumbest utterances in human history. This poor sheltered soul has evidently not heard about this little FBI/college basketball corruption story. Not much news coverage, it did have some wiretaps involving UofL this guy should try to check out if he can find them anywhere....

They have been pushing this "whatever lower ranked recruit we got is better than their 5 star" stuff since they convinced themselves Siva was on John Wall's level.

As far as player development, if anything Cal will pursue P.D. over wins early in the season when he's pushing guys out of their comfort zones to prepare them for the next level. He encouraged Davis and Towns to struggle through learning to play with their backs to the basket, he stayed on Herro about getting his shot off faster, etc.

You can criticize Cal for lack of tournament success relative to talent, I have too, but I don't know how you can say it's a myth he develops NBA players when he has 15 years of success stories vs a handful of flops and at the same time we watch year after year as "can't miss" prospect chose other programs and flame out.

Truth: they know they just missed out on the top recruit they would have had in years and maybe the best point guard in their history. (even better than Peyton Siva!!!! Ha!) Of course they're salty.

And yes, it MUST be that UK and Nike are paying him to come here. It can't be that UK has twice the tradition and 4 times the titles (now that that title is gone) It can't be that Louisville is gonna be facing more sanctions and discipline. It can't be that Calipari has proven himself again and again at getting players ready for the NBA. It can't be that Calipari has proven himself able to develop point guards again and again. It can't be that the kid knows he's gonna be surrounded with more talented players who are also NBA prospects and will have an excellent chance to have an excellent season. The list goes on...

Louisville fans will tell themselves whatever it takes to make it through. I almost feel sorry for them sometimes.

They want an echo chamber over there, plain and simple. They don't want any UK characters over there trying to be the voice of reason. Reason died a long time ago around those parts, so when they hear it they clinch up and hold their breath until they turn blue in the face. :D

I personally would like to see everyone stop calling them little brother. Ain’t no way I’m claiming kin to that bunch. They are like the one meth lab trashy yard house in an otherwise nice neighborhood. Maybe the Scum down the road, but not my brother.
