I will say though that Frost did a terrible job play calling that last drive. You actually had lots of time, even with a QB like Martinez, but you got to help him out. They were obviously blitzing, and you had THREE TIMEOUTS left.
Throw a WR screen, RB screen...something that is high percentage and gains yards...then just simply call a timeout and who knows, maybe you even break a big play. You don't have to throw 20 yard passes when you have that much time, that many timeouts and that good of field position.
Your QB getting the snap and immediately having to run for his life to the sideline is never a recipe for success, whether your QB is as bad as someone like Adrian Martinez or as good as someone like Patrick Mahomes (as we saw in the Super Bowl vs Tampa).
So, we're now at I believe 8 games where we've lost by a possession this season alone; and we still have a QB that has never led a come from behind game winning drive in the 4th Q and he's a 4 year starter.
