If this was for a bowl game or chance to get to ATL and you have a guy that you think could really help you win the game, I have no problem with it.

But to beat MTSU at home? That doesn't make sense.

If he really does this, MSU should fire him for moves like this.

More than anything else, O should have been fired for wasting Ted Laurent, Lionel Breaux, Cordera Eason, and Kendrick Lewis redshirt years.

They played possibly 20 plays combined that didn't include special teams in their freshman year.

Was Don Smith's first game at Bama? I was at that game...1983. I don't know if that was the game the redshirt got burned. But I remember him playing. We played Bond and I think he got hurt. Then Parenton with no luck. Late in the game, Smith trots in and throws a pick 6.

Croom knows it. That's why he's strategically waited until game 8 to break him out, so that nobody can prepare for him.

That year we played Bammer in Tuscaloosa. The 1983 Miami game was similar to tomorrow's game. Bellard was getting heat for his wishbone and his hardheadedness, so he promised that he'd change it up and add some wrinkles. Sure enough, we opened up in the I-formation. However, any new wrinkles ended when Bond was running the same option that he always ran.

After leading State to another three and out, Bond was booed by the students. When Don Smith came in, everybody gave him a standing ovation. I remember seeing John Bond on the sidelines on one knee, throwing his helmet down when Smith got cheered.</p>
