Worst offense in D1. One analyst joked we could probably shut them out if we wanted to.

Probably could if most of our guys hadn't lost interest in playing defense. Pretty amazing just exactly how checked out most of those guys really were.
If your second paragraph is correct and it likely is, That's not good.

I don't have any inside info but that's definitely how it looked. Last three games tyty gave up an insane amount of points to the guy he guarded

Woulnd't be surprised if his Dad told him to half *** it and not risk getting hurt again. He has looked like he couldn't care less since coming back. I can't stand TyTy after seeing all this garbage on UK social media during practices.

St Pete with 20 points above it's season average.

Washington is hands down the worst defensive guard signed in the Calipari era.
Booker was pretty bad when he was here. Of course he is at least serviceable in the NBA because he wouldn't have lasted long if he had not gotten better.

Exactly which should be a red flag. They weren't shooting hotly contested shots. Our defensive intensity from tyty and Grady disappeared in Tampa and never returned.

Cal kept playing them in man even watching us get torched. Doing the same thing expecting different results.

Like another poster noted, pretty clear tyty started coasting just trying to get out uninjured

We were ranked top 10 in offensive efficiency and top 15 in scoring. Offense wasn't the problem with Cal. It's almost always been failure to defend that knocks us out and it was that way again. 85 points to a #15 seed is pretty bad. We probably could of laid in a 2-3 zone and nobody left the paint and done better.

I don’t even know if you can call it defense. Defense implies effort. What an embarrassment
