Thompson has been good for us. We all knew this staff was going to be a work in progress. Problem is, at times it is its own worst enemy with walks.

You serious? Besides today, our pitching has been the only thing that has won us games. After that first weekend our bats have been **** and our pitching very good. Did your lifetime seats get taken from you?

True dat. Pitching has been really really good, as have the catchers.

Some of you guys get too emotional during baseball season. A season is not made or lost in one week. Yes this was a bad week but I'm sure Cohen and butch will make you guys look like idiots, as usual.

A lot will have to change for that to happen. I hope it happens before the weekend, but I doubt it. Same song, next verse.

Most people do not and never will understand that the job he (Thompson) did Cohen's first year and has to be one of the most outstanding coaching jobs ever. And I do not exaggerate much.

We had nothing pitching wise. But he kept us somewhat competitive. Polk had taken us to the bottom and then some.

He's certainly

been banned at least once, before. It really blows my mind that people can get banned from a message board, which is essentially everyone saying they think you suck and don't care for you in that forum, and continue to come back time and time and time again.

As an Ole Miss fan, I encourage you to post on here more...

Hopefully you will rant and rave about Butch and throw Cohen in the mix and repeatedly come on here after every loss, make it your obsession, and then in a year or two, maybe you can generate enough pressure to get Cohen and Butch fired.

Then you can hire Bradley Lecroy from Clemson, and then MSU baseball will finally be able to turn the corner.

On behalf of all Ole Miss fans, please post more.

I'm glad they won. Lassiter pitched 7 strong innings. His relief was not so good. I started to post after you bumped this thread during the game and tell you not to count your eggs too soon but I didnt. In the eight inning I started to post again but I let it go. thank God for their catcher.

Thank the pitcher for the pass ball if that's what you're getting at. WK's batters weren't awful and relief hung a couple of breaking balls up but otherwise did a decent job. Midweek pitching is what it is. Young guys learning and getting time on the mound. There have been a lot of unforeseen injuries that have hurt our pitching depth. It's not Butch Thompson's fault for that. I hope we keep him around for quite a while.
