Barnhart has whiffed twice in hires for men’s BB. Contracts given to Cal and Stoops that handcuff the university. People say the fans are the problem but what coach would want to deal with that sanctimonious prick?

Pope said over and over again that he knows the assignment. At the end of the season if we still look like this and it’s clear he can’t complete the assignment he should do the honorable thing and resign. Take the $10 million we paid him and go live a beautiful life. Make way for somebody capable of handling this program. Of course that still leaves the problem of Mitch Barnhart being in charge of the next hire.
I’d settle for him hiring a GM and getting rid of fox

Honest question-why? He has zero coming in. If you are a PG, why would you play for this guy? He has no idea how to design an offense and this was his big selling point.
Pope being one of our own is not going to end well. I have already started disliking him. Can’t stand to listen to him talk, hate his stance on analytics, his game prep sucks, he has no fire on the sidelines, constantly gets his *** handed to him in the first half, can’t recruit for **** or build up a player. On top of all the above he is proving to be an absolute piece of dog **** basketball coach.
I’m beginning to think he might. I think he might realize he just can’t relate to the current college player. These guys just go thru the motions and don’t care win or lose.
Let's not forget, folks, that Mark Pope is the same coach that told BYU fans to take off anti Texas shirts that said "horns down."

Honestly for what? Not trying to be a smart *** … He was given 22 million dollars to build a roster and he couldn’t get but 3rd and 4th stringers at each position. We have 0 recruits coming next year all the top recruits have essentially backed away. Lost control of basically the program… POPE IS DONE!
Boosters wanted Pearl and that’s a fact. Just tellin ya, they all wanted Pearl.
Barnhart talked the BOT into this, he can’t control Pearl.
Pope isn’t the problem, Mitch Barnhart is the problem. How we get him out I don’t know, he hasn’t even been a high winning AD. He’s not there for that, he’s here to be a financial administrator for the university.
Do the boosters realize we are doomed in this new NIL era? Do we have boosters left? We don’t function like a program with a lot of big time boosters. Do the crafts even like UK anymore?
It’s why I can’t hate Calipari anymore the way I used to. Calipari did us a favor by coming here, and he removed Barnhart from the program which has saved it to this point.
People need to begin to protest collectively against Mitch lol. Hell pull a Lousivlle dude (what’s his name?) and picket outside his office.
That’s what’s sad. BCG would absolutely beat the living sht out of Pope. His players would eat this soft *** team.

yes, we have a great basketball booster base actually. I know a few. And they wanted Pearl. The problem is the BOT and AD’s office and President. They hold a lot of power with the new contracts. They don’t have to rely on”as much” on the boosters but the boosters still yield power.
This is all coming to a head hold on. Kentucky administrators won’t be allowed to continue the sht show much longer.

And this isn't an NIL complaint. Plenty of other programs paying money and getting results. IU just won a natty in football.

I just can’t watch Oweh anyway. Guy is clearly a major issue on this team and just pads numbers against sht teams. There are so many plays he makes that just point to things going on that, well, things as an athlete I never did nor have I seen done.
He quit this program the day Mark brought in Aberdeen anyway.
Never would have thought this last season, but Oweh is in my top 5 most disliked players in UK history.
His teams fought their butts off and they weren’t going to be pushed around. Anyway , I could take losing better if we just showed heart and didn’t mope like a bunch of babies. I have to make myself watch these games anymore. Sad sad sad.
His teammates don’t have much talent and it is so frustrating for talented players to play with a team this poorly constructed. He is required to do so much on the offensive end and Pope had to put him on Vandy’s PG.
