Yes there is.....but remember the feeling Sunday. We won our way into the championship series (the only team to do that this year). Monday night sucked ***, now we are back to that Sunday feeling....we have it the championship in front of us.
It's like I said in another post... I think Vandy, knowing they couldn't roll with Rocker in game 2 waited to see what kind of outing Little was going to have before they put forth much effort. Last night felt too easy. It was the kind of easy that makes me think Vandy conceded when they knew they didn't have the MLB arm on the mound. They'll be different tonight with Rocker out there.
For one thing, we won't be gifted baserunners through walks and HPB so much. We'll have to work for anything we can get early on. Gotta be patient at the plate and don't give Rocker any first-pitch easy outs.

Forsythe comes to the plate and lays down the most beautiful squeeze bunt in CWS history (perhaps the only squeeze bunt in CWS history). 1-0 Dawgs going to the bottom of the 9th. Vandy has runners on first and second with none out. Batter hits a screaming liner toward third. Hit and run was on, but James makes a diving catch and starts the most beautiful 6-4-3 triple play in CWS history (perhaps the only 6-4-3 triple play in CWS history). Dawgs pile. We all pile. Big new sign gets erected at the Dude. This is our night.
They definitely conceded at some point. We aren't going to be able to score on them like that tomorrow. They basically threw their C team pitchers at some point when it became too hard for them to come back. It will be a battle tonight and a toss up as to who wins.
We all know what is coming. I wish this day would just drag on forever so we won't get the confirmation tonight. At this point, at least we have hope.

Dear Eight Pound, Six Ounce, Newborn Baby Jesus, don't even know a word yet, just a little infant, so cuddly, but still omnipotent. We'd just like to thank you for all the games we won this year and beg you to let our baseball team win just one more little sports ball game tonight and the national championship we keep getting mocked about by people we don't even like and you don't either, so what's the deal with that. This is just ********. Are you seriously suggesting that a team 1 win away from a national title (and 2 losses away from losing a national title) started mailing it in in the 1st inning? That's ridiculous. Of course they were trying to win the game. They did, wisely, concede late when they put in the FR relievers.

This is true, but now that they are in a 1-game situation, anything can happen when the ball starts bouncing. That's pretty dangerous for them to live like that, Rocker or not.
If Bednar was on full rest, and we were facing Little today instead of Rocker, I'd still be nervous as hell. Anything can happen in any one baseball game.
I totally get this because I'm the same way, but there's no way I'm not watching at least part of the national championship with us in it. The thought of not seeing the final out (should we pull out the W) is far worse than the thought of losing the game.
No dumbass... where did I say they started mailing it in in the 1st inning? How long was Little out there? I'm just saying you could see they had no fire in them as the game wore on and the 17 year old kid didn't ever get his stuff working for them. Tell me you watched the same game i did.
Haha, okay today. I don't see us hitting Rocker. I mean, who really has? Ole Miss and Arizona who were really good hitting teams. I didn't watch them play Georgia. I think something else has to
go wrong for them. Errors, maybe getting Rocker out of the game (but he seems to be a work horse). I hope he doesn't go 7 innings. That would suck for us.
