Does anyone think Haith may have left Missouri for TU to get away from big $ donors who wanted a "voice" in the way the program was run? I just wonder if coaches get tired of that type of money having too much influence in the way they want to do things. You don't necessarily see that too much at non P5s (except places like SMU who have an inferiority complex). Just a thought

Could be possible, especially after the Shapiro mess at Miami.

After the Shapiro mess (Shapiro was a mess at Miami before Haith was there...Shapiro's been around for a long time screwing with the U), and maybe he saw some of the same meddling at Mizzou combined with knowing he didn't have much support from the AD and he just wanted to go to a place where all he needed to do was coach.

StL sportscaster Frank Cusumano attacked Haith today and Kim English was pretty quick to defend him. Cusumano agreed with Mizzou giving Anderson another year to prove himself because he was left with "the Titanic". English noted that when Haith arrived there were no FR and no signed recruits at Mizzou. I think kids went to Mizzou to play Kansas and Illinois every year. I know they're not playing KU anymore and somehow the border battle with Illinois seems to have lost its luster. Mizzou's move to the SEC may have gained them more $ but now they suck at everything.
