I don’t think Huntington High would take Doc as their head coach. I’ve said for years he sucked as a head coach. Finally some people on the Stowers Nation board are seeing it the same way I have for years.

Too bad for Doc. I actually kind of like him being as he's an ex-Mountaineer, but his record stands on it's own.

Marshall's dilemma is they can't afford to keep slipping downwards under his leadership but they can't afford to buy out his contract either.

For the record, his WVU related buyout is $3 million, which shows how insecure they are about anything related to WVU........and it's pointless because we don't want him on our sidelines in any role.

It’s pretty simple to me, and it has been for quite some time.

He and our fans put way too much stock in his recruiting. For as many great players he gets, he loses that many through attrition. He gets entirely too many kids with character issues and low football IQ’s and he can’t develop players.
His in game adjustments are horrific and he can’t do the one thing he has needed to do for the past 2 seasons, fire Bill Legg

If they hired him for his recruiting, they should have understood he had been recruiting for a different head coach. You can go and recruit a 4 Star player but if you coach him down to be a 2 Star it doesn't matter. You guys need an up and comer. Someone who is looking for a stepping stone.
