I just watched Nigeria get screwed twice by the officials in their match against France. Of the games I've seen I don't see anyone beating the U.S.A..

I have only seen a few games other than the 2 US games. But I agree I have yet see anyone to match the talent we have. But then again, we have played two of the weaker teams in the entire tournament and I am not close being an expert on soccer. Game against Sweden will be a better test.

Honestly though, womens soccer is pretty hard to watch. They are so slow and weak.
Not at this level. Are they as fast and strong as the men? Noooooo but they are definitely very skilled.

Love World Cup soccer both men and women. Great international competition. Yes, I will watch the Atlanta United in the MLS, World Cup, Olympics and some other random international matches. But I'm not a hardened soccer fan outside of that.

You must be of Swedish descent. They beat us in the 2016 Rio Olympics. We owe them one.....it won't be close......the U.S.A. will will.
They looked ok against Thailand - but it was hard to evaluate. But I do love watching them play

I agree, I think the US looks pretty unbeatable at this point.

Not really if you live down here. Soccer is huge, very much an international city with many "immigrants" just love the sport, and Atlanta fans support a winner as they are nothing but a bandwagon jumping fan with local teams. Couple that with a great organization with a beloved owner and a great venue, it is fantastic. I rarely miss a game.

not much. Not interested other than highlights.
Best part of Premier League is their highlight show. They show every goal and big play from every game in a one hour format so you can see the best of each weekend with little time invested if you choose.

Same in this area with the DC United.....they have been a huge success from day one when they started in 1994.

I’ve always wondered if some of the women could start on national teams. Along the back line maybe CDM?
Don't think they could start at any position other than goalie. And......don't laugh.....studies have shown that women have superior reflex and anticipation skills compared to men.....Drag racing will validate that claim.

I think they could at a CDM - CAM - CB position or even FB position in the right formation. Maybe even up front, if she’s fast enough. A WC national team might be difficult, but at the MLS level? I think for sure.

I'll watch the American broads, but only when it's my patriotic duty. Ain't no chance in hell I'm watching that commie sport otherwise.

Whoa COOP, don't be painting all of "us" with that broad brush......I don't have any use for soccer :boxing:

Not sure how much parallel there is between the two cities......and clearly, nobody in North America is drawing anything close to the Atlanta franchise (or presumably playing in a stadium as big, for that matter).....but even our new MLS franchise has caught the attention of the locals here in Cincinnati.

First year in the League coming off a strong run in the minors; and even with arguably the worst team in the game, they're a solid 3rd in the League in attendance. No clue if that holds up over time if the team doesn't improve; but I myself remain shocked as to what extent this city has taken to the pro game.

Of course, it's certainly worked strongly in their favor that both the Bengals and Reds have been little more than anyone's afterthought in the entire time the organization has been in existence.

Now......that's some serious soccer. Fatigue might come into play as hard as they are going at it.....I think our subs are superior.
