Nah we’re just playing well. This game ain’t over either…
We’re playing a very average game. Our shooting numbers right now are 44%, 37% and 70%. We’ve lived at the FT line again today, as we did in Knoxville. Rebounding and free throws are why we swept them. UT has again been terrible on offense. That’s their M.O. though. They might have the worst P5 offense in the country. We’re admittedly a bubble team, but we’re better than UT.

We played well but they were kind of mediocre today if you ask me. Missed FT, missed some open looks, some bad breaks. Our D is improving.

Maybe as overrated as any team in the country. Seriously, we are better at every position. It’s not really debatable. I thought our win in Knoxville was more about UT just missing a ton of open looks at the rim. But now it’s obvious we’re just the better team.
Wrong! We just beat the favorite for the national championship and we need the selection committee to believe that too.

They have the #1 defense on Ken Pom. Now their offense is 56th but they've beaten good teams multiple times this year.

They are very overrated. And we matchup really good with them.

Yes, it’s a VERY favorable match-up for us. I actually like UT’s chances to get some good wins in the tourney because they DEFEND. Maybe the most relentless defensive team I’ve seen (denying all passes, physical, overplaying every position on every possession). No, they’re not a final four team because they lack scoring, but they can DEFEND.

The field is wide open. They arent overrated...they just beat the #1 team in the country
Yeah if UT makes shots like they do usually there isn't 5 better teams in the country. We just match up great with them. UK is a better team then Arkansas and I fully expect them to beat us again due to match ups . Sports many times are like that.

They just smacked #1 Alabama. We played good ball today. Give the devil his due

They’re 10th in the country with wins over KU and Alabama and they have the #1 rated defense.

They would be overrated if they were a 1 seed, but they're not.

Why would we discredit our win?

I’m not discrediting it, but Tennessee is not that good. They’re a really good defensive team that doesn’t play both sides of the ball, they’re going nowhere.

Game to game you don’t know with them, but against a team like UK they are doomed. We matchup too good with them and they can’t score. We can’t beat teams that are prolific, Tennessee isn’t.

So it’s just how you look at it. I like teams that are balanced and consistent. That’s not Tennessee. I have yet to see this team beat one of those, that’s the problem.

You take this win all day for our records, to stop bleeding, and to look better in the metrics. How much it matters for sizing UK up however is a different story.

We’re not the same team as we were obviously; but UK has to stop sucking all year and hoping for a miracle “come to Jesus moment” just before March. That’s not UK basketball.

UT total record reveals they are NOT overrated.

However, there’s a lot of parity in college basketball. Both tournaments should be exciting and wide open.

We are a bad matchup for UT.

I agree, but our defense has improved DRAMATICALLY in the last month. Livingston is FINALLY playing at a level that can be a problem for our opponents from here on out. Heck, even Collins is playing bigger and better.

The Vols are NOT very athletic outside of Mashack and Zeigler, so we can use our length to keep them from shooting great.

Yeah, against teams with size and athletesism, they'll struggle.

We played like we are capable of today, but I can't think of 10 teams that are better than Tennessee.

See, making statements like "they're overrated", or, "UK doesn’t have enough talent" nedds to be qualified. Look at the field right now, there are no dominant teams. UK is right there with 5 or 6 teams talent-wise and UT, with their defense, is top 10 and they.proved it on Wednesday.

Yea I mean that’s why I expanded my thought. To just make a quick statement I’d say yes they’re overrated. Of course there’s context to that.

And I just could not see this UK team in a final four unless some boat show widening in our bracket happened.

Remember, UT was ranked #2 a couple weeks ago. They are nowhere even close to being that good. Offensively, they’re not even a Top 50 team. I’ll take any win over them, but my biggest takeaway from this sweep, is that UT was terrible. They’ve looked pretty bad in most of their big wins too. They were just fortunate their opponents played worse.

They just beat Bama on Wednesday. We played average game statistically on offense against an elite defense which suggests a solid game for us on offense. We’re getting better, but UT is not bad.

It just seems silly to me to suggest as much.

One glaring weakness is Tennessee's inability to hit free throws. Some guy is shooting about 40%. That will get them beat in the NCAA tournament.

The do not play like one would think a 2 seed plays. Early out for the Vols.

Nah, UK just matches up well with UT, because UT doesn’t have multiple 3pt shooters.

There aren't 10 better teams than UT.

It always amazes me when someone beats a team and call them over rated. By doing that you are putting your own team down. You are saying if they had not been over rated your team could not have heated them. Note that coaches understand this and brag on how good the team have beaten is.
